In a world where everything competes for our attention, I’m committing to reading the entire Bible in 2026, and I’ll be doing it publicly.
Why publicly? I asked myself the same question until I read Nehemiah. Israel’s spiritual and mental turnaround didn’t happen because they ‘got it together’, it happened when they returned to the Scriptures and made public reading a practice again!
That’s exactly why I’m doing this —
for accountability, and to encourage anyone who listens.
If the Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, then we have a responsibility to keep it burning.
Jesus teaches through the parable of the sower and demonstrates His authority by calming a storm, delivering a demon-possessed man, healing a woman, and raising Jairus' daughter. He sends out the twelve disciples, feeds five thousand people, and asks them who they believe He is. Peter confesses Jesus as God's Messiah, but Jesus explains that He must suffer and calls His followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. The Transfiguration reveals His glory, while the surrounding events continue to challenge the disciples' understanding of His mission.

Day 299. Luke 6–7
Jesus teaches that the Sabbath was made for God's purposes, calls His disciples, and delivers a sermon emphasising love for enemies, mercy, humility, and obedience. He warns against judging others while ignoring our own faults, explaining that a tree is recognised by its fruit and that a solid foundation comes from hearing and practising His words. In chapter 7, Jesus heals a centurion's servant, raises a widow's son, and commends a sinful woman who responds to Him with great love, showing that those who recognise how much they have been forgiven can love deeply.

Day 298. Luke 4–5
Jesus resists Satan's temptations in the wilderness and begins His public ministry, proclaiming good news to the poor, freedom for captives, and the fulfilment of Scripture. He faces rejection in Nazareth but continues teaching, healing, and demonstrating authority over demons and sickness. Jesus calls His first disciples, cleanses a man with leprosy, heals a paralysed man while forgiving his sins, and calls Levi the tax collector. These chapters reveal Jesus' authority and His willingness to draw near to those society often rejects.
