Stoðir styrkjast: Fjárfestingarfélagið orðið eins og lítill lífeyrissjóður
Um miðjan júní var sagt frá því í fréttatilkynningu að Bláa lónið og ferðaþjónustufyrirtækið Arctic Adventures ætluðu sér að sameinast. Ef samruninn gengur eftir verður til risastórt fyrirtæki á ferðaþjónustumarkaði. Samanlagður starfsmannafjöldi fyrirtækjanna tveggja er rúmlega 1100. Eitt af því sem vekur athygli við þessa fyrirhugðuðu sameiningu Bláa lónsins og Arctic Adventures er að fjárfestingarfélagið Stoðir er einn stærsti hluthafi beggja þessara fyrirtækja. Stoðir eru langstærsti hluthafi Arctic Adventures með tæplega 42 prósenta hlut og fyrirtækið er þriðji stærsti hluthafi Bláa lónsins með 7,3 prósenta hlut. Fjallað er um stærð Stoða í íslensku viðskiptalífi í dag og er saga félagsins rifjuð upp. Rætt er við fjármálagreinandann Snorra Jakobsson og Sigríði Margréti Oddsdóttur, forstjóra Bláa lónsins. Takmörkuð áhrif lækkunar kakóverðs
Í nýrri úttekt verðlagseftirlits Alþýðusambands Íslands, sem birt var í gær, kom fram að verð á vinsælum súkkulaði- og sælgætisvörum hefur hækkað um tæp 33 prósent að meðaltali frá júní 2024 til júní 2026 - og að miklar verðlækkanir á kakó og sykri undanfarið hafa ekki skilað sér í smásöluverð.
