[…] And we had 12 detectives working and we had close to 100 homicides a year. Wow. And about 4,000 almost homicides. So it was just absolutely crazy there. But I did six years in the squad, had developed a specialty and not by choice, sort of got backed into it on a case, but developed a specialty on infant death and wound up handling a number of the baby cases. After six years, I had had enough of that. It was time to move on and got a transfer to the intelligence division. And they put me in charge of Russian organized crime project.
