<p>Korleis prøvde ein å førebygge og løyse konfliktar i vikingtida på Island? Det gjaldt eit sett av normer om personleg ære ogfamilieære, alliansar, lojalitet og krav om styrke og handlekraft. Det var ting, lov og rettssaker. Dette kunne fungere, og det kunne føre til tragedie. Med kristendomen kom ein æreskodeks med eit nytt etisk innhald.
