[…] And this is, as we discussed offline, a concern for businesses and corporations and educational has the question, have humans past peak brainpower? And they're summarizing a number of research that's been conducted, and basically they're concluding that in high-income countries, including the United States, our ability to reason and solve problems appears to have peaked in the early 2010s and declined since. I think you can overlay that, by the way, with the introduction of smartphones around 2009 when they really hit the scene hard. Interestingly, But they tested teenagers and adults and just noted deteriorated performance in reading, math, and science. all note that the cognitive decline coincides with a fundamental shift in how we deal with information.
