[…] So I don't know. Why did you transition from writing to a lengthy career in A&R for a bunch of different labels? Because I felt that I was 27 or close to that. But I also thought I thought I've gone as far as I can now. writing because i didn't see a future in writing about music i didn't you know books people weren't writing quote music books there was no audience for this as a as a career and it's like well you're gonna be an adult like i looked at 30s like i'm an adult i'm not just a kid anymore in my 20s and what am i gonna do like um because i can't subsist on making you know nine or ten thousand dollars a year right anyway which is you know a good amount of money for me then um so i write about this at the end of the book but i i knew people in the record business uh and I really liked Warner Brothers a lot, which was like this cool label.
