147: “We Asked for a UFO… Then Lost Time” | 1973 Encounter Story
What happens when you ask for contact… and something actually responds? In this episode of the UFO Garage Podcast, we sit down with Dave Hamlin to hear his firsthand account of a chilling experience during the 1973 UFO sighting wave in the upper Midwest. What started as a curious night turned into something far stranger. Dave and his girlfriend drove out to a remote field, scanning the skies, calling out through a walkie-talkie… even jokingly asking to be taken for a ride in a flying saucer. Then—without warning—everything went blank. The next moment, they woke up in broad daylight, sitting upright in their car… with no memory of what happened in between. In this conversation, we explore:
The 1973 UFO flap in Minnesota & Wisconsin
The moment everything went silent
Missing time and unexplained gaps in memory
A strange physical mark that appeared after the event
Why Dave has spent decades searching for answers
His thoughts on regression therapy and uncovering the truth
More than 50 years later, the questions still remain. Was it nothing… or something we still don’t understand?
What really happens during alien encounters?
In this episode of the UFO Garage Podcast, hosts Ben & Joe sit down with a powerful panel of experiencers and researchers: Steven Colburn, Barbara Jean Lindsey, Eric Mitchell, and Heidi Gadd.
We dive deep into:
Alien implants and how they’re detected
Real experiencer stories and missing time
The mysterious “Soul Conference”
Havana Syndrome and frequency-based weapons
Psionics, consciousness, and advanced human potential
The growing global experiencer community
This conversation blends firsthand accounts with fringe science, raising questions about reality, consciousness, and what might be interacting with humanity behind the scenes.

Generational UFO Encounters & The Dark Side of Disclosure - UAP Studies Podcast & UFO Garage
What if your childhood wasn’t just strange…
What if it was monitored?
In this powerful episode of UFO Garage, we sit down with Jason and Katie from UAP Studies Podcast to dive deep into generational UFO encounters, high-strangeness ranch activity, abduction memories, and the terrifying question of what disclosure really means.
Katie shares her connection to a mysterious Colorado ranch tied to animal mutilations, black projects, and paranormal phenomena much like Skinwalker Ranch. From blue orbs in her bedroom to shadow figures and ongoing investigations with MUFON, her story stretches across decades. Jason recounts multiple encounters — including childhood sightings of black disks and cigar-shaped crafts, twin phenomena, and a chilling 2017 “three knocks” event involving missing time, paralysis, and waking up inside a tank and seeing two grey entities.
We explore:
• Generational UFO experiences
• Mining town UAP hotspots
• Abduction memory fragments
• The hitchhiker phenomenon
• Consciousness and hybrid theory
• Government secrecy and disclosure fears
• The psychology of experiencers
• Are ETs spiritual… technological… or both?
This one gets deep. We laugh. We get uncomfortable. We ask questions we might not want answered.
Welcome to the Garage.

[…] I mean, I would go through school, of course, I'd have straight A's in science, but yeah, maybe C's or D's in English and stuff. It was always science. Science and art and physical, or gym. I have A's to balance me out. But always, always interested in, like I said, ever since I first heard of UFOs and stuff, I was like, yeah, I'm looking at the sky all the time. Hours I'd sit out in the lawn chair, binoculars, stuff, so it was just how I always was. So what's your perspective been like recently, like obviously growing up through a lot of this stuff, like as something that people just didn't talk about to now to where it's like, oh, it's just like almost just mainstream news.
