Jakso 40 – Yorgos Lanthimosin Poor Things
<p>Minulla oli eilen ilo nähdä tämä elokuva valkokankaalta pienen kaupunkimme elokuvateatterissa. Elokuva näytettiin kakkossalissa, kyllä, meillä on sentään kaksi salia, mutta itseni lisäksi sitä oli katsomassa vain viisi muuta ihmistä.</p> <p>Sanoisin heti ensikuulemalta, että Poor Thingsissä on Lanthimosin elokuvien paras soundtrack, paikoitellen se kuulosti jopa pompöösiltä ja pateettiselta. Ja se toimi.</p> <p>Toinen silmiinpistävä asia tässä elokuvassa on seksuaalisuuden ja ihan kovan seksin rooli, kuten jokin iltapäivälehtikin asiaa valaisi. Lisäksi, kuten yksi lehti otsikoi, Emma Stonen hahmo mm. pissaa alleen jo alkuvaiheilla.</p>

Jakso 39 – Omat ufohavaintoni
<p>Oli 1990-luvun alku, kun lapsen maailmankuvani muuttui. Oli kevät/alkukesä, ja olin perhepäivähoitopaikan pihamaalla leikkimässä ystäväni Karin kanssa. Yhtäkkiä Kari osoitti alemmas laskevaa takapihaa kohti. Tonttia näytti lähestyvän lentävä kohde. Nopeasti se saavutti meidät ja lensi meidän kohdallemme. Kohde oli metallin- harmaa, ja se näytti ohjukselta sillä erolla, että sen päällypuolella oli ikkuna ja sisällä näytti istuvan joku.</p> <p>Tai jokin. </p>

Jakso 38 – They Cloned Tyrone & Letterboxd
<p>Netflixin valikoimassa on paljon kuraa ja tämän kuran seassa paljon sellaista, jota ei ikipäivänä olisi julkaistu edes suoraan VHS:lle. Sitten siellä on joitakin oikeita helmiä, kuten I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore tai Don't Look Up tai vaikka uudempi Leave The World Behind. Jostakin syystä kaikkia näitä tuntuu yhdistävän tietynlainen eksistentiaalinen tiedostus, uhka ja/tai ahdinko. Sarjojen puolelta täytyy mainita ihanien Jonah Hillin ja Emma Stonen näyttelemä Maniac, joka yhdistää scifiä, fantasiaa, mielenterveysongelmia, psyykenlääkitystä ja kertakaikkisen hyvää draamakerrontaa keskenään ennennäkemättömän hienolla tavalla.</p>
