The UIC School of Public Health Dean, Dr. Wayne Giles, talks to us before and after his COVID-19 vaccination in January. He shares how COVID-19 has impacted his family, what motivated him to get vaccinated, and how he felt after the vaccine. Note: Dean Giles scheduled his appointment and received his vaccination through the UI-Health System. Residents across Chicago may expect a different process for registration and vaccination depending on whether they visit a hospital, a community center, or a mass distribution site.
