#04 Umbraise und das Startchancen-Programm

Das Startchancen-Programm unterstützt gezielt Schulen mit einem hohen Anteil sozial benachteiligter Schülerinnen und Schüler. Dafür investieren Bund und Länder zusammen rund 20 Milliarden Euro in zehn Jahren. Es ist damit das größte und langfristigste Bildungsprogramm in der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Die erste Gruppe der ausgewählten Schulen steigt bereits zum Schuljahr 2024/25 in dieses Förder- und Schulentwicklungsprogramm ein. Es zielt ab auf die Stärkung der Basiskompetenzen Lesen, Schreiben und Rechnen sowie der sozialen und emotionalen Kompetenzen. Benjamin Badstieber & Malte Thiede diskutieren über das Programm und informieren, wie die Umbraise-Initiative die Startchancen Schulen unterstützen kann.

#03 – Unterricht als Emotionale Kunst – Interview mit Prof.in Patricia Jennings

Seit vielen Jahren kooperieren wir im Rahmen von Lehre und Forschung mit einer der renommiertesten Wissenschaftlerinnen aus den USA für den Bereich Emotionen in der Bildung: Prof.in Patrica Jennings von der University of Virginia (UVA). Sie ist Autorin zahlreicher, auch sehr handlungspraktischer Veröffentlichungen zu Phänomenen des Verhaltens. Sie lehrt und forscht zu Sozialem und Emotionalem Lernen in der Schule, Achtsamkeit in der Bildung und ist Expertin für Burnout(-prophylaxe) bei Lehrkräften. Sie leitet zahlreiche, große Transferprojekte im Bildungssystem der USA zum Thema Lehrkräfteprofessionalität im Umgang mit Emotionen in Bildungsinstitutionen. Mit Prof.in Jennings sprechen wir über ihre Erkenntnis aus dem US-amerikanischen Kontext und was diese für unser Bildungssystem bedeuten könnten.
