Atanasio Tzul en América, Bonaparte en Europa
Atanasio Tzul fue uno de los dirigentes de la sublevación contra los españoles en 1820. Al enterarse que la Constitución de Cádiz otorgaba a los indígenas los mismos derechos que a españoles y ladinos, escribieron al rey para agradecérselo. Al fracasar la sublevación en el país Atanasio Tzul fue apresado, azotado y encarcelado, para luego ser liberado por instrucciones de las autoridades españolas.<hr><p style='color:grey; font-size:0.75em;'> Hosted on Acast.
