Dr. med. Barbara Filsinger über das Vorsorgeprogramm "Healthy Birth"
<p>Trotz modernster Medizin treten in Deutschland hartnäckige Probleme bei Schwangerschaft und Geburt auf. Zum Beispiel gibt es mehr Frühgeburten als in anderen Ländern und es werden mehr Kaiserschnitte durchgeführt als medizinisch notwendig. Die Frauenklinik der UMM will hier gegensteuern und hat das Vorsorge-Programm "Healthy Birth" für eine rundum gesunde Geburt entwickelt. Es bietet Unterstützung bei allen Fragen rund um die Schwangerschaft und darüber hinaus. Neben medizinischen Fragestellungen können werdende Mütter zum Beispiel auch Tipps und Rat zu Themen wie Partnerschaft oder Ernährung bekommen. Das Programm wurde zuletzt auf die ganze Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar ausgeweitet.</p> <p><br></p>

Kinderbuch "Kojo in der Handchirurgie" von Dr. med. Susanne Deeg
<p>"Kojo in der Handchirurgie" lautet der Titel des zweiten Bilderbuchs von Kinderchirurgin Dr. med. Susanne Deeg. Mit dem Buch möchte sie Kindern mögliche Ängste vor einer Behandlung nehmen. Der Lions Club Mannheim-Quadrate hat der Universitätsklinik für Kinderchirurgie 1.000 Exemplare des Kinderbuches gespendet.</p>

Prof. Dr. med. Benjamin Tuschy über mögliche Ursachen für Menstruationsstörungen
<p>Es ist ein Thema, über das in der Öffentlichkeit nicht oft gesprochen wird: "Blutungsstörungen", also Regelblutungen, die zu stark, zu häufig, zu selten oder mit Schmerzen verbunden sind. Prof. Dr. med. Benjamin Tuschy nennt einige mögliche Ursachen. Im Rahmen der beliebten Vortragsreihe "Medizin für Mannheim" befassen sich Experten der Universitätsmedizin Mannheim am Dienstag, 29. November 2022, noch eingehender damit. Die Veranstaltung findet im Großen Hörsaal des Klinikums statt und wird als Livestream auf YouTube übertragen.
