Доктор философских наук, профессор Виталий Валентинович Целищев рассказывает о своей книге "Алгоритмизация мышления: Гёделевский аргумент" (2005). В интервью обсуждается вопрос о том, исходя из какого критерия мы должны решать, кто умнее - машина (компьютер, программа, большая лингвистическая модель) или человек? В.В. Целищев обращает внимание на то, что важным фактором в решении этого вопроса является доказательность. Поскольку наиболее строгие доказательства мы обнаруживаем в математике, постольку дискуссии переносятся в эту науку. Здесь особый интерес представляет знаменитая теорема Гёделя, согласно которой в рамках теории может быть предложение, которое истинно, но недоказуемо. Некоторые философы расценили это как довод в пользу того, что машина никогда не будет умнее человека (менталисты). Другие наоборот настаивали на превосходстве машин над человеком (механицисты).
