El comentario que presentaba el discurso del papa, decía: “El domingo 12 de marzo, el primer domingo de cuaresma, el papa Juan Pablo II celebró la santa misa en la basílica de San Pedro y pidió al Señor perdón por los pecados, pasados y presentes, de los hijos e hijas de la iglesia”. ¿Sólo de los hijos e hijas, y no de la iglesia? Sí, y esa es la posición oficial que se presenta en todos los documentos.</p><p><br></p><p>El papa dijo: “Todos estamos invitados a realizar un profundo examen de conciencia... reconocer los errores pasados sirve para despertar nuestras conciencias a los compromisos del presente...” [sic]. Ciertamente, el profundo examen y despertamiento de la conciencia que profesa el papa revelaría detalles específicos, si no de todas, por lo menos de algunas de las injusticias cometidas.
