How To Cultivate Joy

In the midst of what is going in your personal life, national politics, and global setting, how can we have and maintain the joy that we have? I want to spend this episode and offer some tips on ways that we can cultivate joy. This episode is more practical in nature and is for clergy or individuals who are active in antiracism work, clergy in the midst of their ministry vocation, workers in their respective vocation, students, moms, and everyone. This is encouragement for anyone who needs a lift. Consider becoming a patron and supporting. My Personal Black History Part 2

So, I know that Black History month ended in February. However, I am still continuing with my personal history. In this episode I pick up where I left off where I first realized that there was a "problem" with me being black. I discuss my parents divorce, blended family with my step family, and navigating my identity formation in white spaces. The goal with these episodes is to give you an inside look into how I got to where I am, why antiracism is important to me, and why it is important that we strive to form authentic community in the church. Share this with your friends, family, and colleagues. Thank you so much for your support. I am more vulnerable in this episode and I discuss my journey into reconciling my ethnicity with being a Christian. This is a process believers of color have been doing for quite some time in the American context. I hope that by listening to my journey you can connect with the vision, mission, and ethos behind Unapologetically Avram. This is my testimony of recognizing that my blackness was nothing to be apologetic about and that I can still be unashamedly Christian.

   Say what about justice!?!?

Music Credit: Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/pryces/music-is (https://uppbeat.io/t/pryces/music-is) License code: 7T8VM3OOCJOLZXRV Patreon: www.patreon.com/unapologeticallyavram Website: www.unapologeticallyavram.com Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKiSQgZWW1Nj8-8KrOYnKpg/featured This episode discusses how the Bible understands justice. Once we understand how the Bible understands justice, we can begin to as believers apply this to our current discussion about justice in our own context. This should challenge us to lay aside our modern, politically motivated understanding of justice, and begin to move towards reconciliation. After discussing justice I hope you are ready as we discuss race and injustice in America. Twitter: @noapp_avram IG: @noapp_avram Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/noapologiesavram/

History of Racism: Antiracism Part 2

I hope that you enjoy this podcast. This podcast addresses briefly, the history of American racism. Given how broad that subject is, even with this being a longer podcast, I was not able to cover as much as I would like. I like to call this a narrative history as it tells the story of racism in America and how it has benefited whiteness. This is Part2 of the 5 part series on Antiracism. Stop Asian Hate

This particular episode is a break from my regular schedule. I felt something needed to be said concerning the recent shootings in Atlanta. This episode was made on a need to say something and does not include the in depth research I normally place in my episodes. I stand in solidarity with my fellow Asian siblings and I hope this is encouraging to those of Asian descent and an encouragement to the rest of us to say something about Asian hate. www.unapologeticallyavram.com and https://www.patreon.com/UnapologeticallyAvram TimMoor from Pixabay
