Awakening Money Narratives: From Religious Roots to Radical Empowerment W/ Drenda Richards

Growing up in a religious home with abuse, today's guest is no stranger to judgement and shame with money. She tells the story of her abusive grandfather finding religion and becoming a pastor, but still continued is strings of abuse and anger. This only confused Drenda even more about love, religion and what was next for her in the world. Drenda went on to write and publish her first book: Badass Babes Of The Bible. That retells ancient stories with a modern twist. This book was intended to be a supportive message of encouragement for women in the adult entertainment industry, but can be applied for all women. Key Points: -Discuss perspectives on Mary Magdalene, highlighting her impact and the negative portrayal by the church, providing additional insights into Mary Magdalene's life and healing work. -Drenda shares their personal journey of leaving and returning to Christianity, feeling hurt by the church's treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals. She now engages in street ministry to show love and acceptance to those marginalized by the church, recognizing the importance of separating God's love from the actions of religious institutions. -Drenda shares her experience with hypnosis, mentioning how it helped them overcome judgment and learn about the power of grace, reminding the audience how important self-love and acceptance is. This starts with loving and accepting yourself, wrinkles and all. -We share our common experience of feeling stuck in a profession or life path due to external expectations, leading to feelings of misery and discontent. And discuss our frustration with being expected to prioritize others' needs over their own, and the importance of self-care and pursuing one's passions. **This week, Drenda's 2nd book releases: Dare to Remember: Uncover Who You Were Before All the BS. This book aims to help people uncover their true selves by changing their beliefs and stories, and remembering who they were before societal influences shaped them. Rituals, Riches, and Marketing: Unveiling the Power of Organic Growth w/ Sara Drury

Repeat Guest, Sara Drury, is helping us rethinking marketing, messaging and our money. Sara was locked out of her Facebook Ads account in 2019. She needed to find a new way of marketing to her people without using paid Ads. Down the rabbit hole Sara went. She has mastered the art of using Social Media to call in her ideal client and make money doing it. Today she helps her client do the same. Adding a bit of Alchemy to marketing, messaging and money, Sara teaches us how to us magik rituals to make money, call in our idea clients and how to show up marketing our services to those waiting to pay us for our services. -I think sometimes the way people sabotage themselves by making their goals so big and unattainable. But if you keep making small steps, over the course of a year, you've made a pretty big leap. Then your job becomes knowing what the end goal is. Then creating those smaller steps, stairstep goals, all along that path. Let the universe handle the rest. -The goal to me is what I'm outsourcing to the universe. And mine is the plan. Those are the steps that I need to take to fulfill my end of the deal. That might look like, I need to launch this program, or I need to market, or promote myself or I need to check in with their money, I need to pay attention to my money. -For me, I will say that everything that I intend happens somehow. It takes some time. It might not happen the way I thought it was gonna happen. And I may have to even check back and ask myself, "do I still really want this or do I want it this way?" Everything that I intend happened. I did a bath ritual (check for the free download). -I love how science is really kind of debunking these ideas that it's like woo-woo. And it's really scientifically coming out that these neurons are wiring together, and these things are happening in our body, which is then connecting to these different parts of the universe or each other. -I think about how we, as women, are able to be here in this time and for the first time in many years we are able to have a say and be honored. Whereas, in the past we haven't been this way. ____________________________________________ Sara's Bio: Sara helps coaches, hypnotists, therapists, and service providers who want a simplified approach to making money online on repeat. Rethinking Wasting Money, Time, Energy For A Greater Connection To Wealth

Today I have been inspired to talk to you about waste. Wasted money, wasted time, wasted energy, wasted effort We have been trained very well in life, in society and in our brain to think that x + y should always equal z when it comes to our anything we do in our life, including spending money. We have to get to the place where we don't expect life to fit into a box. Life is not a formula of 1+1=2. The universe and life that we are living in does not equal a nice beautiful bow and a nice beautiful formula every time we take an action. When that doesn't happen, the tendency is to fall into blame, shame and guilt. Blame money for not being better for us. Blame our career for not doing more for us. Shame ourselves for investing in the "wrong" things. You're a human, and you're having a human experience. No one can guarantee you any result, because you are having a human experience. When you do anything in life, make any type of action, you put any type of effort out there, especially when it comes to you're unpacking of your healing, your visibility, who you are, who you're becoming, it has not been a waste! None of it has been a waste. While I might not have had a certain financial outcome that I intended to have when I made any investment, each time I have still gained a lot. I've grown. I've become a different person. I've evolved into this new versions each time. Listen to this episode to help you understand how you can uncover this idea of "waste" deeper with your finances and life choices. I encourage you to ask some deeper questions that can lead to healing and unpacking your money wounds. I hope this episode helps you get some clarity and deeper understanding. Send me a message on IG and tell me your ah-ha-s. I'd love to hear from you!
