Some Veterans, whether in the military or after they transition out, can feel broken at times. This podcast is here for any veteran feeling broken or not. Our mission is to show Veterans the tools and resources they can utilize to improve their lives. We will also visit with veterans who have accomplished great things in and out of the military so you can find the motivation to help you show the world that you too are unbroken.
In this episode of Unbroken Veterans, we sit down with Ken Cates to discuss Major Talent, a platform designed to help veterans translate their military experience into meaningful civilian career opportunities.
Transitioning out of the military can be challenging, especially when it comes to translating years of military training, leadership, and experience into language that civilian employers understand. Ken explains how Major Talent helps veterans build professional profiles, create tailored resumes, practice for interviews, explore job opportunities, and connect with employers who recognize the value of military experience.
We also discuss the importance of preparing for transition early, taking advantage of available education and training benefits, and staying persistent when the job search gets difficult. Whether you're preparing to separate, recently transitioned, or supporting a veteran through the process, this conversation offers practical resources and encouragement to help you take the next step.

45. Unbroken Veterans with Ron Hernandez
This week on Unbroken Veterans, we sit down with Ron Hernandez, Army Veteran and Founder of Moving Veterans Forward, to hear his powerful story of service, transition, and finding a new mission after the military.
Ron shares his journey from joining the Army, serving in Panama, the Balkans, and Iraq, to being injured during deployment and facing the challenges of transitioning out of the military. After struggling with losing the identity and purpose that came with wearing the uniform, Ron found a new way to continue serving — helping fellow veterans rebuild their lives through Moving Veterans Forward.
His story is one of resilience, leadership, overcoming adversity, and a reminder that the mission doesn't have to end when the uniform comes off.
