UnBuild It podcast is a three-member team – Peter Yost, Building Scientist; Jake Bruton, Builder, and Remodeler; and Steven Baczek, Architect. We are nationally recognized industry leaders: Jake as a homebuilder, Steve as an architect, and Peter as a building scientist. […] Yeah. if we're talking about those sorts of things, but like if you're allowing your building to operate at incredibly high relative humidity, like way beyond what it should be at any given point in the year, the mechanical system is supposed to be taking care of that. And if you're not with the mechanical system, you're overloading the building. You're going to create much larger challenges for, stopping vapor to diffuse into assemblies. And it's particularly interesting to me that when we talk about controlling vapor, it's almost always in the context of cold climate and the winter. But the folks that build in climate zones three and lower, they've got a world of hurt happening in the opposite direction. […]
