Uncited is a casual science talk show by two real-life research scientists! Becca is a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolution at the University of Chicago, and Kristen is a research technician in Cell and Developmental Biology at Northwestern University.
Becca Reads a Paper is me, Becca, reading a paper from the cool scientific literature!
I have to read lots of papers for my PhD so I decided to record some of them! I study the genetic evolution of a microbial pathogen species. Some of my favorite things to learn about include the evolution of disease and how ecology and evolution interact to influence the structure of genetic networks. Send me your paper/topic requests on twitter @rssatterwhite!
Morris, C. E., Kinkel, L. L., Xiao, K., Prior, P., & Sands, D. C. (2007). Surprising niche for the plant pathogen Pseudomonas syringae, 7(1), 84–92.
Second half = RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

1: A Rambunctious Time
Shello and welcome to the first episode of our casual science talk show NOT to be broadcast from a 100-year-old bell tower. But don't worry! We're still lurking in our labs and thrilled to be back with a fun new name! We talk through the invention of The First Chainsaw, how an international public health crisis is affecting our lives, and the horrifying but fascinating history of Twilight Sleep.
