Home of the Uncomfortable Conversations with Chelea Podcast, serving Big Ideas/Big Blunts. I hope to expand your mind one puff at at time through open, honest, thought-provoking, and often mind-blowing conversations with family and friends. By questioning everything from personal family dynamics and traditions to societal views on religion and politics, we will reveal the truth, peace, and growth that exists within this universe.
While away on our Birthaversary vacation, the hubby and I reminisce on arguments & ridiculous moments in our relationship, examine the lessons we were forced to learn about marriage because of COVID, and explore what the world might look like if we get powers on December 21st.
Some of the highlights include:
- Rio almost breaking my finger and sending me to the hospital
- Do I like golden showers?
- Staying attracted to each other as we get older
- Which family members and friends we connect with more
- The Black Community getting the power of Connectivity

You can't talk about survival in 2020 and not mention the Rona. Working in the senior care field, I am exposed to potential risk factors every single day. Even though my organization takes the necessary steps to keep us all safe, I'm not sold on this vaccine. In fact, my beautiful Black ass will be respectfully declining. Listen to find out why.

We on time today! Fridays are a time to reflect on ways you interact with your family, and this morning we're talking about parents. I find that a lot of people have a hard time being themselves with their parents because they don't feel like they can vocalize their issues. So, I take time to reflect on my relationship with both of my parents. Hopefully, you all do the same and maybe even start a conversation with them.

#YourDailyDiscomfort 12/10/2020 Catch-Up
A few random thoughts and questions that need answering. I was going to post a day at a time, but this week has been kicking my ass so you get all four coming at you today.
#YourDailyDiscomfort 12/10/2020 Catch-up covers reactions, gratitude, escapism, and trust. How we react to adversity/negativity can reveal the darkest parts of our hearts that need to see some love and light, and I explore mine. Even though it’s cliche’, I decide to give my mom some love because she made me everything I am and loves me for it, good or bad. I talk about where I would want to go if I needed to get away. I end this random thought parade by diving into my naivety & trust issues.
One a side note, as I was recording and preparing this morning, the gospel chorus “We Fall Down, But We Get Up” kept looping in my head as it often does. That’s pretty much my mantra for restarting after letting myself down. So no I haven’t been posting everyday as I planned, but I woke up early this morning to make sure I started my day with 10 minutes of introspection to share with you all. And that’s good enough 🤞🏾

Wasn’t feeling well yesterday, so I’m giving y’all a ✌🏾-for-☝🏾 today.
Wednesday’s are for wandering, exploring, and traveling time and space. Thursday’s are all about Transparency and examining things that others might shy away from. My Hubby and I discuss what we would want to know if we could see the future, and the downside to womanhood: my menstrual monster.
I know the sound is low, but it’s *sort of* intentional for the topic, and to really express how drained my period leaves me feeling.
Please comment & share, so we can get these honest conversations going!

#YourDailyDiscomfort Introduction
With December being my birth month, it has always been a time of reevaluation & rebirth for me. So beginning tomorrow, I'll be sharing my discomfort with you all every single day. I'll post a question, topic, or prompt on all of my social media platforms (IG & Twitter: @_TheMUVEment, Facebook: @TheMUVEmentBrand), and I hope you'll like, comment, and share your responses. I'll also be posting a Musing (listen on website https://www.jointhemuvement.com/hear-it-uncomfortable-conversations) or a blog post to go with each post to share my response. Through this series, I hope we can all go into to 2021 with a clear heart & mind. Peace, Love & Prosperity.
