Three black women living in Colorado, trying out new things while sharing our stories as the odd women out. We'll navigate new worlds and explore the uncommon threads that bind our collective experiences.
We went ice fishing and let's just say, the fish weren't the only cold blooded beings out that day. Catch and release was the name of the game... The tug was a drug for Sam and Age while V and the fish both died a little inside.

Always Wear Stirrups
We went to the National Western Stock Show in 2019 and had a WHOLE experience, so we're doing some serious reminiscing in honor of NWSS 2020. We saw all the horses, a bear(skin) or twelve, and far more lil' piggies than some of us were ready for. Giddy up, we may just take up horse riding y'all.

Snowshoes And Snow Angels
Somehow we about burned to death while in the snow... We went snowshoeing and definitely overdid it on the whole layering up thing, but V turned a new leaf and Age and Sam now have to compete in a foot race. Don't ask...

Just An Overpriced Garage Sale
We hit up an auction, which some considered an estate sale, but we found to be nothing more than an overpriced garage sale. To each his own, but we definitely got bamboozled.

Hockey Anyone?
We went and froze our lil buns off in the nosebleed section at a hockey game last season, and had some pretty deep convos about race within the sport. Lots of feelings and opinions, y'all. Lots.

Two Left Feet And No Arms
When your moves are more like a do-si-DON’T, you may want to stick to what you know. We tried out country line dancing and were promptly reminded that the electric slide is more our speed.

No Match For The Manitou Incline
Did you know that if you put three black women on a one mile hike with an average grade of 45%, you’ll end up with six gumby legs, 7,248 pauses, 361 curse words, and one devoured turkey sandwich? No? Well now you do. We lost our minds and did the Manitou Incline, and promptly proceeded to find religion in the process #JesusTakeTheWheel

The Brutal Bingo Beatdown Of 2019
There was no winning for us in the age-old game of B-I-N-G-O. Between bouts of dyslexia, number overload, and straight up paralysis, the game beat us into serious submission. But believe it or not, we had a good old fashioned time at good ol' Barry’s Bingo.

The Comforts Of Car Camping Were Not Felt By All
Age and Sam popped V’s camping cherry, but not one person had an entirely pleasurable experience. V struggled sleeping with her bad back, Age basically froze to death, and Sam had a full on battle with our neighbors - the mosquitos. In spite of it all, we survived to tell the tale of car camping in Colorado.

Turkey Legs Have A Place In History And Our Hearts
Let the trumpets blow and the drums roll… we go to the Renaissance Festival! The highlight was the food but we saw some other stuff too - like a miniature city full of swords and weapons but no metal detectors, wild animals out of their natural habitat, moving statues… Wait, maybe we should’ve been scared out of our minds.

Get On The Bike, Get Way Offbeat
We hit up a HOTLANTA spin class and lawd did we struggle. Between the germs, the moves, and the bikes themselves, we almost didn’t survive past minute five.

Culture And Couth Are Not The Same
We try our hand at the Opera where we learned that Mozart is legit, a composer and a conductor are NOT the same thing, and some people appreciate culture but not couth.

Who Knew Tea Lights Were Made For Tea
Little known fact: tea lights were made to keep tea warm. Well, maybe it's a well known fact, but this revelation blew Sam's mind when we tried Afternoon Tea.

And The Ball Rolls No More
Although we went to see the Rapids (MLS) play, soccer was the last thing on all of our minds.

The Father, The Son, and No Holy Ghost
We give Catholic Mass a go, and let's just say it was a whole experience.
