..- -. -.. . -.-. .-.. .- .-. . -.. / - .... . / .--. ..- -. .. ... .... . .-. Undeclared! has flipped, with Krista taking an unspoiled Jaime through the wild ride that is Marvel's The Punisher series. Each episode, Jaime will share her thoughts on the latest episode and Krista will provide insights from its comic origins and other sources.
-- . -- . -. - --- / -- --- .-. .. (Memento Mori)
It’s been a wild ride with some surprises and a lot of emotions. In this last episode, Jaime and Krista talk about what was done well, what could have been done instead, and how very much they admire this one and only season of Marvel’s the Punisher.
Thank you for hanging in with us and encouraging us on this journey that took much longer than anyone expected. We hope you enjoyed the show and our take on it. Join us when we move into future projects because we miss you already!

Dreams really do come true. Put yourself out there, folks. In this very special episode of UNdeclared!, we speak with Actor, Writer, Producer, Dad of Twins, and self-proclaimed nerd, you know him as the heartbreak of season one, Sam Stein--Michael Nathanson.
We still can’t believe it happened.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.12 Home

Good on the actors and the director for this episode, where half the story is told in reaction. Krista wasn’t in love with this episode, but Jaime makes up for it. We also have news about our decision not to cover Season 2.
One more episode, guys. We can’t thank you enough for your support.

We’re getting closer to the end of the season, and we’re going to see who’s angrier with Billy. Is it Madani? Is it Frank? Or is it Jaime?
My money is on Jaime.
Seriously, though, editing this today was hard because it’s a reminder of how lucky I am when I get to record with Jaime and talk to her about things we love. This show being high on that list. We appreciate your understanding that we don’t want these gaps happening any more than you do, and we hope this is a nice surprise at the end of the holidays.

The Punisher - 1.10 Virtue of the Vicious
...- .. .-. - ..- . / --- ..-. / - .... . / ...- .. -.-. .. --- ..- … (Virtue of the Vicious)
It’s officially 2019 in every sense of the word. Krista and Jaime are back to recording, and we’re both so glad to see our boy Frank being more clever than ever in this episode. We find a bit more loss in Lewis as it turns out the writers decided to make Lewis something of a scholar even if he doesn’t seem to understand how to take good care of other people’s pets. The sadness over Jaime’s boyfriend continues.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.09 Front Toward Enemy
..-. .-. --- -. - / - --- .-- .- .-. -.. / . -. . -- -.-- (Front Toward Enemy)
You now have all the episodes we recorded in 2018. We left Jaime having to cope with her fears that something else might happen to Curtis after Lewis did the unthinkable to a man too pure for the Marvel Netflix world.
The timing of recording this episode and the show’s topics dovetailed into some events that were happening in the United States in real life, so there’s a brief intro to provide context to the discussion. We both can’t wait to get back into the swing of things as Jaime and Krista wrap up their other currently running show, The Constant: LOST.

Jaime learns about fermented rice, we talk about if love at first sight exists, and Krista tortures Jaime with possibilities as she was asked by our intrepid fans. Spoiler--Jaime is NOT pleased.
We talk about parenting styles and new money versus old money. Jaime is prescient regarding current political affairs. Oh, and the anguish our heroes are put through this episode. Rest in peace, Sam. But we’re really happy to find out that Season 2 production has started (another episode recorded a year from when it was edited).

The Punisher 1.07 Crosshairs
Undeclared! The Punisher, S1E7 -.-. .-. --- ... ... .... .- .. .-. … (Crosshairs)
After a heck of a hiatus, we’re back. We recorded this back in January of 2018, so everything is still fresh in Jaime’s mind, including her anger toward Billy. We talk about the fallout of the heroin smuggling, how it changed nearly everyone’s lives in the show, and how the people around Frank change his methods.
Thanks to all of you who have been so encouraging during our frustrating hiatus.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.06 The Judas Goat
.... . / .--- ..- -.. .- ... / --. --- .- - (The Judas Goat)
Frank’s going to survive his wounds from last episode; Micro and he are stronger friends than ever; Madani and Billy are using each other in more ways than one; and Lewis finally is pushed too far. No one blows up, but it’s still a nerve-wracking episode with a few surprises. Especially for Jaime, whose theories thus far are put to the test.
But the real question is whether she says “Goddammit, Billy!” or “#protectcurtis” more often. If it were a drinking game, the players would die of alcohol poisoning. Her reactions are all Krista could have ever hoped for and more. And we’re not kidding about the t-shirts.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.05 Gunner
. ..- -. -. . .-. (Gunner)
After a much longer hiatus than any of us enjoyed due to illness, Krista and Jaime have a very special episode with guest host Jim Beverly, Executive Producer of Hero Movie Podcast and Iraq War veteran. He provides some insight and gravitas after Jaime and Krista give a positive feminist critique of a particular scene.
For patrons, there are more episodes that need to be edited and will be let out as soon as possible. For non-patrons, the schedule will remain the same, with another episode coming out a week later. Thanks to everyone for their understanding and patience.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.04 Resupply
.-. . ... ..- .--. .--. .-.. -.-- (Resupply)
We’re back after the holidays with more mayhem, murder, and Micro! Madani! Muscle cars! All of the above! And who doesn’t love a man who can kill you with his pinky but can also get a garbage disposal in order? Turns out Jaime has had quite enough of Frank’s way or the highway. But even moreso, what is with that Lewis kid, and what damage is he going to cause? The only way to find out, as the kids say, is to tune in.

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.03 Kandahar
-.- .- -. -.. .- .... .- .-. (Kandahar)
We all read into everything and still miss one obvious point--why was Billy Russo reading The Picture of Dorian Gray? Perhaps Krista should check imdb more often.
But the meat of this episode was so heavy that you can’t entirely blame her. References to Vietnam and movie stars of yesteryear along with a trip down Micro’s worst day memory lane. Jaime is intrigued and still pulling for her boy Billy. But what’s with this Lewis kid? And why do we have to hear about him? And why isn’t that Eddie Vedder even though it’s clearly Eddie Vedder in the battle scene? (Hint: Because it’s White Buffalo).

Undeclared The Punisher - 1.02 Two Dead Men
Yes, you've seen this episode pop up in your feed already, but somehow the original file that was uploaded was missing about half of the episode. This is the full episode. Sorry about that, guys!
Jaime finds out that just because an actor is good doesn’t mean he’s in it for the long haul. Madani is after all the information she can get, and some of that information comes in a very pretty package named Billy Russo. Frank, on the other hand, is chasing down the mysterious Micro to find out who and what this man is before he trusts him. Frank reaches out to Karen, whose hypocrisy is showing a bit in this episode. We say goodbye to Frank’s hipster look while he does his best to evade all the technology that Micro has at his disposal. Micro is clearly brilliant, but who will find whom first?
All Krista wants is some diner food.
We discuss special ops forces and the reality vs. television with some assistance from an anonymous source of Krista’s.

It’s a dark and twisted world where the dead are alive and Jaime is the Unspoiled host in Undeclared’s coverage of the Punisher. In this episode, Krista walks Jaime through the moments that led up to the opening scenes of the intro, and we discuss psychology, justice, and escapism. Jaime also comes up with a special request based on the title of this episode.
Frank is back in New York. He thinks he’s finished taking care of anyone who had a hand in the deaths of his family, so he grows a beard and takes up construction work. Frank also lies blatantly because he tells a good friend he liked reading Moby Dick. Oh, and he murders some people in gruesome, well-deserved fashions. We get to meet Agent Dinah Madani, a woman who lost a partner in Afghanistan and is looking for answers; Curtis, the only friend Frank seems to have; and Donny, a young man who needs to be more particular when choosing his friends. Welcome back, Frank.
