Under Construction with K.T. isn't your typical polished, buttoned-up podcast-it's the blueprint for building a better version of yourself, one messy brick at a time. Hosted by K.T.-Army vet, entrepreneur, dad, and full-time realist-this show dives into what it really takes to grow when life hands you tools you didn't ask for and blueprints that don't make sense. Whether you're starting over, leveling up, or just trying not to lose your damn mind, you 'll laugh, reflect, and probably rethink a few things. It's not perfect, but neither are you. That's the point!
After a little time away, Under Construction is back…
Rusty and I served together in the Army more than 20 years ago. He started as an enlisted soldier, became a commissioned officer, eventually retired as a Major, and now spends his days as a JROTC instructor helping shape the next generation.
But this conversation isn't just about the Army.
We talk about the people who changed the course of our lives, leadership, fatherhood, finding purpose, leaving something behind…
It's real, it's funny, it gets surprisingly emotional…
Welcome back to Under Construction.
This one's for the old friends, the lessons learned, and the stories that somehow get funnier with age.

Under Construction : Ep 7 - Dusty Harris "Leave No Stone Unturned"
Dusty Harris doesn’t do half-speed. You know him from The Amazing Race (Season 33’s “COVID season”) and The Challenge: USA (Season 2), but this episode goes way beyond TV. Dusty opens up about the infamous rock-flip meltdown and how it changed him, the brutal mind games of the Challenge house, and the friendship that anchored it all, racing with Ryan Ferguson and the ripple effects of Dream/Killer and the Innocence Project.
Now 41, Dusty’s a sober, ultra-endurance dad with a daughter due in October and a mantra that hits like a sledgehammer: “Leave no stone unturned.” He breaks down why he quit drinking by choice, how to survive temptation one day at a time (“it’s hell to get to heaven”), and why he created Ruck40, carrying 40 lbs for 4 miles every 4 hours to make everything else in life feel easier.
If you need a jolt of grit, perspective, and accountability from a guy who’s lived it, this is your episode. Lace up.

Under Construction : Ep. 6 - Paul Spinella "From Breakup to Breakthrough"
In this raw, honest, and soul-punching episode, K.T. sits down with his longtime friend and #1 bestselling author of The Woman in Apartment 2, Paul Spinella. What starts as a reunion quickly evolves into a deep dive on healing after heartbreak, rewriting your story, and learning how to build real boundaries—starting from within.
They unpack:
• The pain that sparked Paul’s debut book—and the healing that followed
• How therapy, faith, and jiu-jitsu (yes, really) became unlikely lifelines
• Why most men avoid unpacking their “basement boxes”
• What it really means to set a boundary (and why you’ve probably been doing it wrong)
• The power of mantras, community, and doing hard things like dance lessons or sparring at 6AM
• And a whole lot more real-talk on love, trust, codependency, and being a man under construction
If you’ve ever loved the wrong person, lost yourself trying to be everything for everyone, or just needed to remember that you’re not broken—this one’s for you.
Hit play. You’ll feel seen.
