Verse 2: Oh, the soul-thrilling rapture when I view his blessed face, And the lustre of his kindly beaming eye; How my full heart shall praise him for the mercy, love, and grace, That prepares for me a mansion in the sky. Verse 3: Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come, And our parting at the river I recall; To the sweet vale’s of Eden they will sing my welcome home; But I long to meet my Saviour first of all. Verse 4: Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white, He will lead me where no tears will ever fall; In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight; But I long to meet my Saviour first of all. Refrain: I shall know him, I shall know him, And redeemed by his side I shall stand, I shall know him, I shall know him By the print of the nails in his hand. Saving, helping, keeping, loving, He is with me to the end. Jesus! what a Friend for sinners! Jesus! Lover of my soul; Friends may fail me, foes assail me; He, my Savior, makes me whole. Jesus! what a Strength in weakness! Let me hide myself in Him; Tempted, tried, and sometimes failing, He, my Strength, my vict'ry wins. Jesus! what a Help in sorrow! While the billows o'er me roll, Even when my heart is breaking, He, my Comfort, helps my soul. Jesus! what a Guide and Keeper! While the tempest still is high, Storms about me, night o'ertakes me, He, my Pilot, hears my cry. Jesus! See! the foe is nigh; Raise the standard high For the Lord; Gird your armour on, Stand firm every one; Rest your cause upon His holy word. Verse 2: Strong to meet the foe, Marching on we go, While our cause we know Must prevail; Shield and banner bright Gleaming in the light; Battling for the right We ne’er can fail. Verse 3: Oh! thou God of all, Hear us when we call, Help us one and all By thy grace; When the battle’s done, And the vict’ry won, May we wear the crown Before thy face. Refrain: Rouse then, soldiers! rally round the banner! Ready, steady, pass the word along; Onward, forward, shout aloud Hosanna! Christ is captain of the mighty throng. Scripture References 1 Peter 5:8-11 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Matthew 8:28-34; 9:32-34; 12:22-23; 17:14-21 Ephesians 6:10-20 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all...

Holy Bible, Book Divine! by John Burton, Sr.

What should you do with the Bible? Is it a sword to fight Satan? A baseball bat for whacking others? A shield to protect yourself against criticism? The usage of Scripture is often confused and lost today, and this hymn helps us see some of the key things we should expect to get out of our Bibles! Questions or Feedback: UnderstandingHymns@outlook.com Subscribe on Your Preferred Platform (https://understanding-hymns.captivate.fm/listen) Support: Pray, Review, Share! (https://t2m.io/Mg9A1zZb) My Faith-Building Resources (https://t2m.io/MH9AXhoS) Original Song Lyrics Holy Bible, book divine! Precious treasure! thou art mine; Mine, to tell me whence I came; Mine, to teach me what I am: Mine, to chide me when I rove; Mine, to show a Saviour’s love: Mine art thou, to guide my feet; Mine, to judge, condemn, acquit: Mine, to comfort in distress, If the Holy Spirit bless; Mine, to show, by living faith, Man can triumph over death! Mine, to tell of joys to come, And the rebel sinner’s doom: O thou precious book divine! Precious treasure! thou art mine. Scripture References Psalm 119:9-11, 20, 103, 128-129 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. ... 20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. ... 103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! ... 128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. 129 PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. 1 Timothy 2:1-6 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1 John 5:6-8 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with...

Day by Day the Manna Fell by Josiah Conder

Did you know that God's provision comes daily? Not weekly, monthly, or yearly--He emphasizes giving us what we need today. We can trust Him then for the right now and leave the worries of our futures in His hands. [04:59] - v2: There's no fear in love. [06:42] - v3: Adopt God's wisdom and purpose. [09:40] - v4: Yield to the Father's will. [11:03] - v5: Cast away anxiety. [13:44] - v6: Submit in prayer and thanksgiving. [15:09] - Jesus: The Bread of Life [15:48] - Learn to Rest in Christ Song Lyrics Day by day the manna fell; O to learn this lesson well! Still by constant mercy fed, Give me Lord, my daily bread. “Day by day,” the promise reads, Daily strength for daily needs; Cast foreboding fears away; Take the manna of today. Lord! my times are in Thy hand; All my sanguine hopes have planned, To Thy wisdom I resign, And would make Thy purpose mine. Thou my daily task shalt give; Day by day to Thee I live; So shall added years fulfill, Not my own, my Father’s will. Fond ambition, whisper not; Happy is my humble lot. Anxious, busy cares away; I’m provided for today. Oh, to live exempt from care By the energy of prayer: Strong in faith, with mind subdued, Yet elate with gratitude! Scripture References Deuteronomy 8:2-5 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every wordthat proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. 5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. Psalms 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalms 119:64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes. Psalms 145:8-9 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Lamentations 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Is Your All on the Altar? by Elisha Hoffman

[10:48] - Salvation: The Prerequisite to Surrender [11:50] - Surrender Takes Daily Effort [13:41] - What Are You Withholding from God? Song Lyrics Verse 1: You have longed for sweet peace, and for faith to increase, And have earnestly, fervently prayed; But you cannot have rest, or be perfectly blest Until all on the altar is laid. Verse 2: Would you walk with the Lord, in the light of his word, And have peace and contentment alway, You must do his sweet will, to be free from all ill, On the altar your all you must lay. Verse 3: Oh, we never can know what the Lord will bestow Of the blessings for which we have prayed, Till our body and soul he doth fully control, And our all on the altar is laid. Verse 4: Who can tell all the love he will send from above, And how happy our hearts will be made, Of the fellowship sweet we shall share at his feet, When our all on the altar is laid. Refrain: Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blest and have peace and sweet rest, As you yield him your body and soul. Scripture References John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Philippians 4:6-9 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Luke 17:5-6 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted...

(https://t2m.io/Mg9A1zZb) My Faith-Building Resources (https://t2m.io/MH9AXhoS) Song Lyrics Verse 1: Just as I am, without one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bidst me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 2: Just as I am, and waiting not To rid my soul of one dark blot, To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 3: Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt, Fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 4: Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind, Yea, all I need in Thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 5: Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; Because Thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 6: Just as I am, Thy love unknown Hath broken every barrier down; Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Verse 7: Just as I am, of that free love, “The breadth, length, depth, and height” to prove, Here for a season, then above, O Lamb of God, I come, I come! Scripture References Hebrews 10:1-14 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are...

[10:21] - Why I Emphasize Jesus [10:49] - Bow to the LORD Jesus Song Lyrics Verse 1: I love to tell the story of unseen things above, Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true; It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do. Verse 2: I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams. I love to tell the story, it did so much for me; And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee. Verse 3: I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet. I love to tell the story, for some have never heard The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word. Verse 4: I love to tell the story! For those who know it best Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it, like the rest. And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song, ‘Twill be the old, old story That I have loved so long. Refrain: I love to tell the story, ’Twill be my theme in glory, To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love. Scripture References Ephesians 3:18-21 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Psalm 40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Mark 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and...

[14:07] - Call to Action: Make Christ Your Everything Original English Translation of Be Thou My Vision Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart, Naught is all else to me, save that thou art. Thou my best thought by day and by night, Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light. Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true Word; I ever with thee, and thou with me, Lord. Thou my great Father, and I thy dear son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one. Be thou my battleshield, sword for the fight, Be thou my dignity, thou my delight. Thou my soul’s shelter, thou my high tow’r; Raise thou me heav’nward, O pow’r of my pow’r. Riches I heed not or man’s empty praise, Thou mine inheritance now and always. Thou, and thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my treasure thou art. King of the heavens, O grant me for dole, Thy love in my heart, thy light in my soul. Thy light from my soul, thy loves from my heart, King of the heavens, may they ne’er depart. High King of heaven, my victory won, May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heav’n’s Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my vision, O ruler of all. Scripture References Colossians 1:7-18 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the...

We Magnify Our Father God by David George Ball

Today, we're looking at my new favorite hymn about God's nature as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Questions or Feedback: UnderstandingHymns@outlook.com Subscribe on Your Preferred Platform (https://understanding-hymns.captivate.fm/listen) Support Opportunities (https://t2m.io/Mg9A1zZb) More Faith-Building Resources (https://t2m.io/MH9AXhoS) Timestamps [00:00] - I don't know anything about the author. [00:43] - The lyrics highlight God's triune nature. [01:18] - God exists as eternal, unchanging love. [03:25] - God's triune nature should not be ignored. [07:02] - The Father's ways are perfect. [08:44] - The Son heals us from our sin. [11:57] - The Holy Spirit is our comforter. [14:14] - Challenge: Do you have a right view of God? A right relationship with Jesus? [14:57] - God must exist as multiple persons to be eternal love. [15:46] - Challenge: Are you seeking closeness to God? Or only His power? Song Lyrics Verse 1: We magnify our Father God With songs of thoughtful praise; As grateful children we confess How perfect are His ways. We worship Jesus Christ our Lord Who saw our sin and pain And with the Great Physician’s skill Restored our health again. Verse 2: We glorify the Holy Ghost For fellowship and aid; In changing times we find ourselves Secure and unafraid. The love of God will never change Throughout eternity; In rev’rence and thankfulness We bless the Trinity! Scripture References Malachi 3:6 - "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." James 1:17 - "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Hebrews 13:7-8 - "Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Romans 8:35-39 - "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." 1 John 4:7-16 - "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world....

The Bible Stands by Haldor Lillenas

A $5 "wheezy organ" is used to give birth to one of the greatest hymns ever written about the Bible... Verse 2: The Bible stands like a mountain towering Far above the works of men; Its truth by none ever was refuted, And destroy it they never can. Verse 3: The Bible stands and it will forever, When the world has passed away; By inspiration it has been given, All its precepts I will obey. Verse 4: The Bible stands every test we give it, For its Author is divine; By grace alone I expect to live it, And to prove it and make it mine. Refrain: The Bible stands though the hills may tumble, It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble; I will plant my feet on its firm foundation, For the Bible stands. Scripture References Hebrews 1:1-4 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Isaiah 55:8-11 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. John 14:5-6 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Psalm...

Jesus, Name Above All Names by Naida Hearn

How a simple laundry day turned into a praise service for the Lord and how it should affect us today... Jesus, Name Above All Names is a simple and short hymn, but it challenges us to meditate not only on what God has done but also on Who He is. Listen in to see how this song came about and what you can do with it in your own life! Questions or Feedback: UnderstandingHymns@outlook.com Subscribe on Your Preferred Platform (https://understanding-hymns.captivate.fm/listen) Support Opportunities (https://t2m.io/Mg9A1zZb) More Faith-Building Resources (https://t2m.io/MH9AXhoS) Timestamps [00:00] - How did Naida Hearn write Jesus, Name Above All Names? [00:37] - Where does the Bible refer to God that way? [06:21] - How does this affect me? Song Lyrics Jesus, Name Above All Names, Beautiful Savior, Glorious Lord. Emmanuel, God is with us. Blessed Redeemer, Living Word. Scripture References Isaiah 9:6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Matthew 1:18-25: "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." Luke 1:31: "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS." Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." 1 Corinthians 8:4-6: "As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." Romans 10:5-13: "For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall...

Christ Liveth in Me by Daniel Whittle

A man goes to war with gruesome results. A young boy is crying out on his death bed. Scripture prevails in the midst of it all. The truths expressed here are life changing if we just lay hold of them! Share this episode with anyone it may encourage! [02:10] - What are some Bible truths found in Christ Liveth in Me? [09:28] - What should I do about it? Scripture References John 17:25-26: "O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." Galatians 2:20: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." John 1:14-17: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." Galatians 4:1-7: "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." John 14:16-17: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." Ephesians 1:13-14: "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." John 1:12: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" 1 Corinthians 3:16: "Know ye not that
