   Squatting Movement In West Berlin

One of the most radical actions against private property in Germany had been the squatting movement. People would occupy empty buildings to use them for the needs of their group as well as their political agenda. In the recent years, the social democrat governments in Europe have turned more and more to Neo-liberalist agendas. It’s been a long time that any squatting action is considered illegal and faces severe consequences. However, gentrification of the neighborhoods and the marginalization of the poor population calls for more social housing... For this episode, I talked with Harald Glöde who was active in the Squatting movement in the late 70s and 80s. Subscribe to Undisturbed to get more stories! Afghanistan, Taliban and Colonization With Xsro

Nothing was as sad as the things that were happening in Afghanistan during the past weeks. A beautiful country with beautiful people had again fell in hands of those who dislike any beauty as we know it. The retreat of foreign military forces from Afghanistan led to a complete chaos in which an abstract ideology started to rule the country again. Yes, the history repeated itself. In this episode, I talk with Khosro, an active member of the Afghan diaspora about Afghanistan and its politics. Subscribe to Undisturbed to get more stories! The RAF With Margrit Schiller

RAF or the Revolutionary Army Faction was a militant group in West Germany that took the initiative to resist imperialism and Nazism through Guerrilla operations. The group that is also known as Baader-Meinhof group went to action in the beginning of 1970s when armed resistance was a trend. In this episode, I talk with Margrit Schiller, one of RAF members who were active in that time and was soon arrested. She tells me about the roots of her activities as well as her life as a German political activist in exile. Subscribe to Undisturbed to get more stories! Palestine with Mühanned Qafesha

The month of May was a black month for Palestinians living in the occupied territories. The story began in 1948. After the Israel war of independence, many Palestinians living in West Jerusalem had to leave their homes and move to East Jerusalem. These refugees had to live in United Nations accommodations in Shaikh Jarrah, a small area in East Jerusalem that was owned by two Israeli corporations. In 1967 and after the Six Days War, these two companies tried to reclaim the land. The whole story is still subject of dispute between Israelis and Palestinians as well as the international community. While Israeli officials claim that the matter of Sheikh Jarrah is nothing but a real estate dispute, Palestinians who live there faced a second or third displacement from their temporary accommodations after the supreme court in Israel ruled on evicting the area of Palestinian population. To get a better idea of what is happening in Israel and Palestine, I talked with a freelance journalist and activist who lives in Hebron. Subscribe to Undisturbed to get more stories!
