What does it really mean to be a Christian? Is it enough to attend church, know the right things, or claim to follow Jesus?
In John 15:1–17, Jesus describes Himself as the True Vine and His followers as the branches. Just as branches depend on the vine for life, we depend entirely on Christ for spiritual life and growth.
In this message, we discover that those who are truly in Christ will bear fruit, depend on Him, and find joy in obedience. And perhaps most importantly, the love we receive from Christ should be reflected in the way we love others.
Jesus doesn't simply command us to love one another. He shows us what that love looks like through His willingness to lay down His life for us.
When we remain in Christ, His life changes our lives—and that change should be evident to the world around us.

Love Obeys. The Spirit Stays. Jesus Pays. | John 14:15–31
Jesus has told His disciples that He is leaving, and their hearts are troubled. How can they possibly carry on His work without Him?
In John 14:15–31, Jesus reminds His disciples that genuine love for Him produces obedience. But He also promises that they will never have to follow Him alone. The Holy Spirit, another Counselor, will come to dwell within them forever, bringing the continuing presence of God into their lives.
Jesus also promises a peace that the world cannot give—a peace made possible by His willing sacrifice on the cross.
In this message, we explore three simple but powerful truths:
Love obeys.
The Spirit stays.
Jesus pays.
As we reflect on these promises, we're reminded that our relationship with Christ is rooted in His love, sustained by His Spirit, and secured by His sacrifice.
