The Freedom to Fail: Why Mistakes Help You Succeed
Remember how, as kids, we could fall down a hundred times while learning to walk and still get up and try again?
Nobody thought that falling meant we weren't cut out for walking. It was just part of learning.
Somewhere along the way, we lost that attitude.
Now, when a business launch flops, a potential client says no, or something we've worked our butts off for doesn't go to plan, we make it mean
Maybe I'm not good enough
Maybe I don't have what it takes
Maybe it's time to give up
What if we stopped seeing failure as proof we're not good enough and started seeing it as an indication of what to do next to reach our goal?
In this episode, we're exploring how to stop letting failure knock your confidence and how to use it to reach your goals.
IN THIS EPISODE
Why failure feels so personal and how our childhood experiences shape the way we deal with mistakes and rejection.
What changes when we stop treating failure as proof we're not good enough and start seeing it as an opportunity to learn?
What babies and professional athletes understand about failure that most adults have forgotten.
Why hearing “no” is an unavoidable part of getting to “yes,” especially when building a business.
How to stop taking disappointing results personally when everything seems to be going wrong.
Two simple questions that can change how we look at failure and help us figure out what to do next.
Why the strategy isn't always the problem, even when we're not getting the results we want.
How fear, self-doubt, and a lack of confidence can sabotage sales without us even realising it.
Why changing how we show up can make a bigger difference than changing what we do.
How to identify the real bottleneck instead of wasting months fixing something that isn't broken.
Why copying someone else's successful strategy, or relying on AI for answers, may be keeping us stuck.
How the right coaching and regular feedback can help us spot blind spots and make progress faster.
When to stick with a strategy, when to tweak it, and when to ditch it altogether so we can achieve our goals on our own terms.

The Messy Middle of Personal Growth: How to Navigate Change With Dr Lisa Campbell
Have you ever stayed in a job, a relationship, or a situation long after you knew it wasn't right for you anymore?
You know something needs to change. And yet, the thought of letting go is terrifying.
Because what if you regret it? What if you lose everything you've worked so hard for? And who would you even be without the things that have defined you for years?
We talk a lot about what we need to do to grow. Rarely about what we need to let go of. And that's the hardest part.
Dr. Lisa Campbell, author of "Shed the Weight", knows this well. She walked away from a secure career and a business she'd built over two decades to create a life that finally felt right for her.
In this episode, we explore how to recognise what's keeping you stuck, why letting go can feel so uncomfortable even when you know it's the right thing to do, and how to navigate the messy middle between the life you've outgrown and the one you want to create.
IN THIS EPISODE
Welcome Dr Lisa. Her story and how she came to do this work.
Why being comfortable can become the biggest obstacle to your growth.
How to recognise when the career, business, or identity you've worked so hard to build is no longer serving you.
The invisible emotional weight you may be carrying without even realising it.
Why being successful on the outside doesn't mean everything is okay on the inside.
Why personal growth gets messy, and how to find opportunities in challenges you'd rather avoid.
The difference between sleeping and truly resting, and why slowing down is often the missing ingredient for success.
Why accepting help and allowing yourself to be vulnerable are essential parts of growth.
What happens when you finally give yourself permission to grow beyond who you've always been.
Why growth sometimes requires subtraction, not addition.
The four steps of the SHED framework to identify and release what no longer serves you.
Why letting go also means grieving what you're leaving behind, even when it's a change you wanted.
How to navigate the messy middle between closing one chapter and starting the next.
Three practical tools to process difficult emotions and protect your mental health during change.
Why you need to develop your emotional resilience tools before life throws you a curveball.

The Price of Freedom: What You Have to Leave Behind to Grow
Have you ever got something you really wanted and then thought, “Why am I not happier?”
Maybe life is better on paper. The business is doing well. There’s more money in the bank. A relationship has ended that needed to end. New people have come into your life. Things are moving.
But at the same time, there’s this feeling of, “I miss how things used to be.”
Like the friend you're not talking to anymore. Or waking up every morning with your partner by your side. Or the camaraderie of working from the office.
And then comes the guilt.
“Why am I sad? I wanted this.”
That’s the part of change nobody really prepares us for. Sometimes getting what we want also means saying goodbye to people, places, habits and versions of ourselves that we genuinely loved.
And when that hurts more than expected, it’s very easy to start going backwards just to feel normal again.
In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when the life we wanted starts costing us parts of the life we had, why that can bring up so much grief, and how to move through it without blowing up the good stuff because the old stuff still feels safer. Let's dive in!
IN THIS EPISODE
Why getting exactly what we want can still come with grief, loss and a strange sense that something is missing
Why happiness and grief can exist at the same time without meaning something has gone wrong
The hidden cost of leaving the familiar behind, even when the new life is better
Why the moment after a big breakthrough can be one of the easiest places to sabotage everything
How people-pleasing, overworking and weak boundaries can keep success built on foundations that were never going to last
Why getting what we want can suddenly force decisions that were much easier to avoid before
What happens when grief gets buried under guilt, shame, frustration and self-judgment instead
Why some things have to fall apart before they can be rebuilt in a way that actually works
What changes when one person grows and a relationship stays exactly the same
Why “you’ve changed” can feel so uncomfortable - even when changing was the whole point
How stronger boundaries can completely change relationships with people who were used to unlimited access
Why saying yes to keep the peace can eventually create resentment instead
What really happens when the fear of losing people stops controlling decisions
Why some relationships survive new boundaries - and others don’t
The difference between changing to keep someone happy and changing because life genuinely no longer fits
Why growth can also mean grieving the person we used to be
How familiar habits like overworking, controlling and constantly planning can pull us backwards after a breakthrough
The questions that reveal what no longer belongs in the next version of life
What growth really asks for beyond simply “becoming more”
Why discomfort doesn’t automatically mean the wrong choice has been made
How to prepare for the fact that going after something bigger may also mean letting something go
