Dacxi Chain: Pioneering the Future of Investing with Ian Lowe
In this episode, Andy Pickering and Ian Lowe discuss the recent progress of the Dacxi Chain and its vision for allowing everyday investors to invest in privately held growth companies. Ian explains why the first deal on the partner platforms will be crowdfunding for Dacxi Chain itself, to refine the process and improve the platform’s functionality and feature set.
Andy and Ian discuss Dacxi Chain’s foundation partnerships with equity crowdfunding platforms Equitise (Australia), Snowball Effect (New Zealand), and Angels Den (Europe), emphasizing their collaborative nature rather than competition. These partnerships are seen as crucial in validating the technology and expanding globally.
Crowdfunding platforms are not competitors, but rather they are all Dacxi Chain potential customers and partners. That’s because Dacxi Chain allows licensed crowdfunding platforms to share deals with each other, expanding investment opportunities and capital for everyone. There are no upfront costs for partners, only a small fee when deals are funded. This win-win model excites equity crowdfunding platforms as it offers access to more capital without the need for additional investments or setting up multiple jurisdictions. That’s why the ambitious vision of Dacxi Chain resonates with the CEOs running these platforms, who see it as a credible source of growth due to thorough planning and the consideration of business models, API frameworks, and regulatory frameworks.
Successful equity crowdfunding rounds will validate the business and drive demand for Dacxi Coin, the transaction currency of the Dacxi Chain. Ian also addresses the distinction between owning Dacxi Coin and participating in equity crowdfunding for Dacxi Chain shares. He says that there should be a correlation between their value increases over time due to network growth driven by deal flow.

The Dacxi Chain update with CEO Ian Lowe
On this episode, Andy speaks with Dacxi Chain CEO Ian Lowe. The Dacxi Chain aims to connect entrepreneurs and investors all across the world, giving entrepreneurs access to a global pool of potential investors and providing investors with hyper-growth opportunities. Ian says that the Dacxi founders identified equity crowdfunding as an opportunity several years ago, after which they conducted exhaustive research into the industry to build a business model architecture. They found that equity crowdfunding is constrained by its local nature and by perceived barriers for investors around owning equity in private companies. To address these challenges, they are pursuing a decentralized model where existing equity crowdfunding platforms can plug into an infrastructure capability that immediately transitions them into becoming part of a network along with other participating platforms. Blockchain and tokenization can accelerate the adoption of equity crowdfunding by providing digital records through smart contracts on immutable blockchains so people can trade tokens in secondary markets. The Dacxi Chain is in the final stages of building its MVP before launching later this quarter under its three-stage expansion plan. The ultimate goal is to operate globally at scale within a few years or less. Regular updates will be provided until launch, which is expected later this quarter. Despite the complexity of the project, progress is being made according to schedule.

Wefunder - Vote with your dollars on the future you want to see
Jonny Price is VP of Fundraising at Wefunder, an investment crowdfunding platform enabling anyone to invest in startups they love.
When most people say “crowdfunding,” they think of Kickstarter. But investors in a Community Round are getting equity in the companies they’re investing in through the Wefunder platform. You can call Wefunder rounds “equity crowdfunding” or “investment crowdfunding.”
Jonny says they call it “Community Rounds” – both because founders are most likely to raise capital from their existing community and because Community Rounds enable founders to build stronger ties among new and existing members of their communities.
