Unmasked with Tari is a faith-centered podcast for women who love God but are tired of pretending they’re okay. Life has a way of teaching us how to wear masks the strong one, the faithful one, the “I’m fine” one. This podcast creates space for raw, honest, and authentic conversations about faith, healing, identity, womanhood, marriage, motherhood, purpose, and the silent seasons we don’t always talk about, even in church .Here, we tell the truth without shame. We honor God without performing. And we make room for healing, even when it’s messy and unfinished. We invite you to Take Off The Mask
The Root of Perfectionism: The Lie That Keeps You Feeling Not Enough | Christian Faith & Identity
Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try… it’s still not enough?
In this episode of Unmasked with Tari, we go beyond the surface and uncover the root of perfectionism—the deeper lie that quietly shapes how we see ourselves, our worth, and even our relationship with God.
This isn’t just about behavior… it’s about belief.
Taking us back to the Garden of Eden, Tari reveals how perfectionism didn’t start with us—it started with a question that planted doubt:
“Did God really say…?”
From that moment, the enemy introduced a subtle but powerful lie:
That what God provided… wasn’t enough.
And from that lie, perfectionism was born.
In this episode, we unpack:
How perfectionism is rooted in doubt, control, and self-reliance
Why striving keeps you moving—but never truly free
The connection between perfectionism and a works-based relationship with God
How comparison and performance distort your identity
Why humility—not perfection—is the answer
Tari shares real, personal moments—from faith to family to identity—revealing how perfectionism can quietly take over your life while convincing you you’re “doing everything right.”
But here’s the truth:
✨ You were never meant to carry the weight of becoming “enough”
✨ You don’t have to earn what God already finished
✨ Freedom begins when you stop striving—and start trusting
You don’t have to be perfect.
Jesus perfects the chosen.
It’s time to take off the mask… at the root.

The Perfectionist Trap: Why So Many Women Feel Stuck & How to Break Free
Perfectionism doesn’t show up as a problem…
it shows up as pressure.
In this episode of Unmasked with Tari, I sit down with my longtime friend Theresa—Overthinking Coach and founder of Grace and Grit—to have an honest conversation about the trap so many women are living in.
What looks like “doing things right” on the outside is often driven by fear, overthinking, and the need to avoid getting it wrong.
We talk about how perfectionism quietly keeps women stuck—second guessing decisions, delaying purpose, and feeling like they’re never enough… even when they are fully capable.
This conversation goes beyond surface-level advice.
We unpack the root of perfectionism, the pressure it creates, and how it disconnects us from peace.
And more importantly…
we talk about how to break free.
Because freedom doesn’t come from getting it perfect—
It comes from choosing obedience, trusting God, and moving anyway.
If you’ve been:
Overthinking every decision
Waiting until you feel “ready”Struggling to take actionFeeling stuck between where you are and where you know you’re called to be
This episode is for you.
You don’t need to get it right.
You just need to start.
In this episode, we cover:
What the perfectionist trap really is
Why perfectionism is rooted in fear—not excellence
How overthinking keeps women stuck
The mental and emotional cost of perfectionism
Why waiting for “perfect” conditions delays purpose
How to move forward with clarity, confidence, and faith
Choosing obedience over perfection

The Superwoman Lie part 3- Letting Go of The Cape (Carol Hardy)
In Part 3 of the Superwoman Lie series on Unmasked with Tari, I’m joined by a very special guest, Carol Hardy, for a real, honest, and powerful conversation about what it truly looks like to live beyond the Superwoman mask.
We’ve talked about taking off the cape.
We’ve talked about heart posture.
But in this episode… we go deeper.
Together, we unpack the reality that so many women face — being the strong one, carrying everything, and silently navigating the weight of expectations while still trying to show up in every area of life.
In this conversation, we talk about:
✨ What it looks like to be the “strong one” behind the scenes
✨ The emotional and spiritual cost of always holding everything together
✨ Real-life moments where strength and vulnerability collide
✨ How God meets us in the middle of our exhaustion and expectations
✨ What it actually looks like to release the pressure and walk in freedom
Because the truth is…
Taking off the cape isn’t just a moment — it’s a process.
And sometimes, that process looks like being honest about where you are, who you’ve been, and what God is calling you into next.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to be everything to everyone…
If you’ve ever struggled to let your guard down…
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to truly be free…
This conversation is for you.

The Superwoman Lie part 2: When God Checked My Heart About Serving
In Part 2 of the Superwoman Lie series on Unmasked with Tari, we go deeper — not just into the pressure of being “the strong one,” but into the heart posture behind it.
After asking the question, “When are you going to take off your cape?”… God took it a step further and checked my heart in a way I didn’t expect.
Because somewhere along the way, I realized something:
I didn’t just pick up a cape…I started adopting the world's mindset. In this episode, we talk about:
✨ How culture can shift our perspective on serving our homes, husbands, and families✨ The tension between feeling overwhelmed and still being called to serve✨ What God revealed to me about my attitude and heart posture
✨ The difference between serving from pressure vs serving from purpose✨ Why taking off the cape doesn’t mean walking away from what God called you to
Because the truth is…
God never told us to stop serving. He called us to serve with the right heart. If you’ve ever felt torn between being overwhelmed and being obedient… t

When Are You Going to Take Off Your Cape? (The Superwoman Lie)
Have you ever felt like if you stopped holding everything together… everything would fall apart?
In this episode of Unmasked with Tari, we’re having a real and honest conversation about the Superwoman mask — the pressure to be everything to everyone, all the time.
This message was birthed from a question I woke up with that I couldn’t ignore:
“When are you going to take off your cape?”
For so many women, being “the strong one” didn’t start as a choice — it started as survival. We became dependable. Responsible. The one everyone calls. But somewhere along the way…We started believing the lie that our value comes from how much we carry.
In this episode, we unpack:
✨ The Superwoman mindset and how it shows up in our lives✨ Where the pressure to be “the strong one” really begins✨ The lies we believe about rest, strength, and asking for help✨ What God actually says about carrying burdens and finding rest✨ Why your identity is not in what you do — but in who God called you to be
Because the truth is…
God never called us to be Superwoman. He gave us grace, not a cape.
And for many of us, our first ministry is the family He trusted us with — not the pressure to hold everything together perfectly.
If you’ve been carrying more than you were meant to… this episode is for you.
💛 Share this with a woman who might still be wearing her cape
💬 And ask yourself: When am I ready to take mine off?

The Strong Ones Mask: When Everyone Needs You But No One Sees You
Many women have become known as “the strong one.”
The dependable one.The responsible one.The one everyone calls when life falls apart.
But what happens when the strong one gets tired?
In this episode of Unmasked with Tari, we uncover the pressure many women carry to always hold everything together—and the spiritual cost of building our lives on our own strength.
Tari shares a personal story about a moment when life forced her to slow down after discovering she had placenta previa during pregnancy, and how that season revealed the difference between relying on her own strength and depending fully on God.
Through scripture and honest reflection, this conversation explores what the Bible actually says about strength and why God never intended for us to carry life alone.
Together we discuss:
• The hidden weight of always being “the strong one• Why self-reliance can quietly replace dependence on God• What scripture means when it says “Be strong in the Lord” (Ephesians 6:10)• How God’s strength shows up when ours runs out• And why removing the “Strong One Mask” can be the beginning of healing
If you’ve ever felt like everyone depends on you but no one checks on you, this conversation is for you.
Because true strength was never meant to come from us—it comes from the One who carries us.

Unmasked: Roles Vs. Identity- Who Are We Really?
Many of us have spent years introducing ourselves by our roles.
Mom.Wife.Leader.Business owner.Caretaker.
But what happens when those roles change?
In this episode of Unmasked with Tari, we’re diving deeper into the difference between roles and identity. Because roles are assignments that shift with seasons of life, but identity is something far more permanent.
For many women, life teaches us to perform—to carry the expectations of family, career, ministry, and community. Over time, we begin to believe that who we are is tied to what we do. But the truth is, our identity was never meant to be built on roles that can change.
Instead, our identity comes from Christ.
Scripture tells us in 1 John 4:17, “As He is, so are we in this world.” But what does that really mean? And how do we begin to see ourselves the way God sees us instead of the way the world defines us?
In this conversation, Tari explores:
• The difference between roles and identity• Why so many people experience identity crises in different seasons of life• How the words of a father shape the identity of a child• Where our true identity comes from in Christ• And why removing the masks of performance is necessary for spiritual growth
This episode is an invitation to stop performing and start discovering who God actually says you are.
Because roles may change, but your identity in Christ never does.
