Life is hard, but living in guilt and shame is even harder. I know because I’ve been there. Sometimes we make mistakes that leave our life scattered in a thousand pieces. We ask ourselves: “How am I gonna get outta this mess?” But what if it’s not a mess, at all? What if it’s all part of God’s plan?
I know nothing happens by accident. I also know God can turn your mess into a message. There’s purpose in your pain. Let’s put the pieces back together to discover God's purpose for our life.
I met Jai a couple years ago. We were volunteers for the Food Pantry at Valley Vegas Church. We were on the same team - Team Jesus. We talked about Las Vegas. I told her that sometimes I get discouraged living in such a dark place. Jai encouraged me by telling me something that totally changed the way I look at Vegas. My Brother: Matthew James Riddle
Today is 10/10, my brother Matt’s birthday. I don’t talk about Matt a lot, but I certainly think about him all the time. I lost my brother to suicide in 2002. He was only 28. Men’s Retreat: Forged in the Fire
If you haven’t been to a men’s or women’s retreat, I highly recommend going! It a time for fellowship, a time to hear God’s word, and a time to get closer to God away from all the distractions. It’s an opportunity to spend time with other believers. This year’s theme was “Forged.” Thanks to Pastor Ron Vietti for calling on us to carry out the great commission.
