Whenever AIDS has won, stigma, shame, distrust, discrimination, and apathy was on its side. But there are people who take courage to fight against this stigma.
In this trying moment, you need a person to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, and a family to embrace you despite your mishaps. This truth is no way near easy to express, but you have to, only to people who truly care.
Thank you for your courage, letter sender. May your letter be a lesson to people and an encouragement to other HIV-positives.
