This podcast is based on the research, writings, and content created by John E. Cassinat found principally in his two-volume book entitled The Book of Revelation Doctrinal Commentary: Unveiling Jesus Christ. The book focuses on the unveiling of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of John the Revelator. The podcast sets forth the views and opinions of theologians and Biblical scholars from many different religions, although the doctrinal views of the apocalypse predominantly align with those found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John the Revelator’s symbolism and images are explained with reference to multiple Old Testament books, including Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Joel and Zechariah. Jesus Christ is the major focus of this podcast from the time of his premortal existence through the time of the celestialization of the earth. Within these broad parameters, podcast topics will include a discussion of the creation of spirit bodies in premortality; the premortal conflict between Lucifer (Satan) and Jehovah (Christ) during the grand council in heaven and the war in heaven; Christ’s physical creation of multiple worlds; the mortal ministry of Christ among the Jews and the establishment of his ancient church; the postmortal ministry of Christ’s spirit in paradise after His crucifixion; the post-resurrection ministry of Christ among the Jews on the eastern hemisphere, the Nephites on the western hemisphere and the lost ten tribes of Israel; the ongoing conflicts between Christ and Satan in the earthly kingdoms of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the modern nations of the earth; the great apostasy that followed the apostolic period; the restoration of Christ’s latter-day church in preparation for His Second Coming and the resurrection of His saints; and Christ’s millennial reign of peace on the renewed and paradisiacal earth for 1000 years, followed by the final defeat of Satan’s kingdom at the end of the earth. These topics and many more will be discussed in this podcast as the many symbols and apocalyptic images of Saint John the Divine are explained to unveil Jesus Christ.
[§334] The Celestial Resurrection After the Second Coming
This podcast explains the celestial resurrection of exalted and unexalted people of the celestial kingdom who come forth shortly after the second coming in the afternoon of the first resurrection. The resurrection of such persons is distinguished from exaltation-worthy people who come forth prior to the second coming in the morning of the first resurrection. This podcast describes four distinct classes or categories of people who come forth in the celestial resurrection after the second coming of Jesus Christ. First, they include celestial worthy people (both exalted and unexalted), who qualify for celestial glory but they did not receive their gospel ordinances prior to their death before the Second Coming so their resurrection had to wait until after the Second Coming. Second, people still living at the time of the second coming who must still receive their gospel ordinances after the Second Coming and therefore live for some period of time during the millennium when they can then be changed in the twinkling of an eye to a resurrected state. Third, people born during the millennium who live as millennial mortals and receive their gospel ordinances as “living ordinances” for themselves before they are changed in the twinkling of an eye at 100 years of age. Fourth, the translated Lost Ten Tribes who receive their temple ordinances at the temple located in Independence Missouri. They will also resurrect after they receive their temple ordinances at the hands of Ephraim.
This podcast also explains the resurrection of unexalted people to the celestial kingdom when a second resurrection angel sounds as described in Doctrine and Covenants 88:99. This verse is commonly interpreted by people within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as the terrestrial resurrection. This podcast takes the position and explains that this verse actually describes part of the celestial resurrection for unexalted people who come forth after the second coming in the afternoon of the first resurrection.

[§332] Overview of the First Resurrection and the Last Resurrection
This podcast provides an overview of the first resurrection of the just, which includes all people who will resurrect to the celestial and terrestrial kingdoms by the end of the millennium. This overview also includes a discussion of the second resurrection of the unjust, which includes all people who resurrect to the telestial kingdom and sons of perdition who resurrect to outer darkness. The resurrection of the unjust will occur after the little season of the wickedness that follows the millennium and at the end of the earth.
This podcast also provides a detailed explanation of the morning of the first resurrection when exaltation-worthy saints are resurrected as the firstfruits of the resurrection. This stage of the resurrection began with the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the meridian of time. All exaltation-worthy saints who lived and died or were translated prior to the death of Jesus Christ were resurrected with him on both the Eastern and Western hemispheres.
Since the time of Christ’s resurrection, the resurrection has not been ongoing or continuous on a general basis for the last 2000 years. People such as Moroni, Peter, and James, have been resurrected since the resurrection of Jesus Christ because they had missions to perform in the flesh on earth. The disembodied spirits of virtually all other people who have died since the resurrection of Jesus Christ enter the postmortal spirit world to fulfill the vast amount of missionary work in that sphere of existence.
The morning of the first resurrection will resume with a very large group of people at the end of the Second Woe just before the Second Coming. This resurrection will include exaltation-worthy people who are living, deceased, and translated. When the morning resumes at the second coming, it will then continue without interruption throughout the entire duration of the millennium. This will make it possible for any and all exaltation-worthy people who live during the millennium to resurrect with an exalted and glorified bodies.

[§331] Earthly Ordinances Required Before the Celestial Resurrection
This podcast explains the interrelationship between the law of earthly ordinances and the order of resurrection. The law of earthly ordinances requires that all gospel ordinances be performed on mortal people in the flesh before the resurrection. Baptism and confirmation are the gateway ordinances for entry into the celestial kingdom. The sealing ordinance is the gateway ordinance necessary for exaltation in the highest degree of celestial glory. To qualify for exaltation, a person must receive all his or her gospel ordinances for themselves before their resurrection as living ordinances or by proxy as vicarious ordinances.
Children who die before the age of eight years are unaccountable and do not require baptism or confirmation. However, they still require the sealing ordinance to be exalted. The same rule and exception applies to people who reach the age of accountability but remain unaccountable because of mental and/or physical disability. Most unaccountable people will receive their necessary temple ordinances by proxy during the millennium prior to their resurrection. The morning of the first resurrection for exaltation-worthy people will continue until the end of the millennium so that these and all other people can resurrect after they first receive their gospel ordinances during the millennium as living ordinances or vicarious ordinances.
This podcast also discusses the patriarchal order of the priesthood, whereby all exaltation-worthy people are linked in the resurrection as part of an eternal family chain going back to Adam and Eve. In this context there is an explanation of the need for the temple ordinance of sealing children to parents before the resurrection where those same children have been sealed to a spouse in the new and everlasting covenant of marriage that is frequently called celestial marriage and the sealing ordinance.
