This is Unwyred, a podcast from Europe to Europe about tech, people and their stories. Your hosts Max and Lenn are two IT Consultants from Munich, always stuck between their passion for technology and their interest in business strategy. Forever torn between code editors and Powerpoint slides. They will use their somewhat limited skills in the English language to talk about the European tech world and their experiences in managing careers in the industry, but most of all they just want to entertain.
Alright people, this is it. It's the new year, you've made serious resolutions and you've probably already broken most of them. So how about you make using a password manager the one that you actually fulfill? You can learn all about them in the new episode of Unwyred. Why bother? Come on, you know very well that there are many sites out there on which you have used the same password over and over again. Do you even have more than one password at all? Is it even a good one? That's alright, we won't judge. Just listen.

Why We Love Open Source
The signs of winter are undeniable even in this episode of Unwyred: It's cold outside and it's time for Lenn and Max to sit in front of the fireplace, get cosy and finally write their highly emotional love letter to Open Source. They listen to the Ghost of Christmas Past tell a haunting story of the founding days of Linux and popular open-source software in the early 2000s. They tear the wrapping paper from their favorite things about Open Source and in the end, your two hosts even find humanity's greatest gift in world-wide collaboration and an open community. 'Tis the season of giving after all.

Max and Lenn explain where the word comes from in the context of technology and show what modern cloud computing can do ending up with an exciting conclusion: Maybe the Cloud can be more useful to you than you think.

Dear Headhunters
This is a weird episode of Unwyred. It’s inappropriate. It’s silly. It’s not at all educational. Max and Lenn get together in person for the first time since the trailer to open one too many beers and to share their experiences with headhunters on the web. They tell the funniest stories of messages they have gotten in the past and wonder about the inner workings of a modern headhunter. In the end, they start a feeble attempt to give recommendations to headhunters who might still be listening after their inappropriate jokes. Sorry! Everyone else might be entertained though...

Max and Lenn spend this episode telling you about the history of “agile”, explaining what it actually means and describing the basics of the mysterious Scrum framework. In the end, they rant about people using agile methods in a wrong way, showcasing a plethora of different ways to abuse them. Enjoy!

Digital Learning Platforms and Micro Credentials
This episode, Max and Lenn talk about digital learning and micro credentials. They discover: While doing online courses for specific product certifications is a practice mostly established in the IT sector, micro credentials or degrees are open for any field of education from architecture to psychology or even Egyptian history. Max and Lenn argue for these techniques to be less about remote studies for a Bachelor or Master degree, but more about what your teachers school referred to as “life-long learning”.
