Welcome back to Up Close w/ Tunde Imann. In this episode, I’m joined by Wuzah Beats, a producer who understands that music is more than technical precision.
We talk about the balance between technical skill and musicality in production, why it’s easy to get caught up in the spreadsheet side of beatmaking, and the importance of staying connected to the creative and emotional core of music. Teddy breaks down what it means to approach production as an artist, not just a technician, and why that distinction matters.
This conversation is grounded, intentional, and a reminder to every producer and creative: you’re making music, not data. Don’t forget the soul in the process.

Episode 5: Bounce (@a_don_ys)
Welcome back to Up Close w/ Tunde Imann. In this episode, I’m joined by Bounce, coming straight out of Brooklyn, New York. We talk about what first got him into music, how his younger brother played a role in his journey, and how early creativity turned into a lifelong passion.
The conversation moves beyond music into brotherhood, mentorship, and what it means to be the oldest sibling and a role model. We also get into emotional expression, masculinity, and why vulnerability can feel harder than intimacy, creating space for honest reflection and growth.
Bounce also shares what’s coming next musically, including new releases, a more R&B-leaning sound, and his commitment to consistently putting music out. It’s a grounded, thoughtful conversation about purpose, creativity, and giving back.
