Curated by students and for students, Up to Date (BNE) is a podcast that offers students a place to engage with and expand upon the existing campus community vibe. This is a place where students and staff can promote events that are relevant to the creative industries, giving students an opportunity to connect with people across departments and be a part of the many things that are happening on campus all of the time! There's a lot to look forward to and share, and this podcast aims to be a platform for students to do this!
And we're back for episode four!
In this episode, we have an exclusively hosts-based episode, where you can listen in and weigh in on the jokes we tell, quotes we share, and more. As well as our question of the week, specifically for you right towards the end of the episode: "Do you think if anything is possible, it is possible for anything to be impossible?".

Problem solving on Mars, and more, with Vincent Perry
Thanks for joining us for episode three!
In this episode our hosts reflect on events of the past week, and discuss the concept of maturity and what it means to be mature. And afterward, we welcome Dr Vincent Perry, music lecturer and all-round legend, and embark on a journey that spans from the bottom of the sea to interplanetary travel and back. Thanks again for being a part of the podcast, Vinny!
About Vincent Perry
Dr Vincent Perry is a Brisbane-based drummer, record producer, and avid collector of vintage instruments and recording gear. Vincent draws his musical inspiration from the house bands of the 1960s recording industry, especially Phil Spector’s Wrecking Crew and Motown’s Funk Brothers. He is currently a full-time lecturer at JMC Academy where he teaches music units. He has also previously taught units in the Audio and Entertainment Business Management departments. Along with his academic commitments, Vincent has previously performed the roles of manager and drummer for corporate/wedding ensemble Radio Club Band.

Bleeps, Bloopers, and Improv Poetry with Special Guest, Dan Sugars
In this episode we catch up with the hosts and introduce Dominic Grey (Dom), our newest member of the crew, and talk about some exciting things coming up for the podcast, as well as in the film scene on campus at the moment.
And stick around for later on in the episode where we embark on a Q&A journey with Dan Sugars (https://www.dansugarsaudio.com/), audio engineer and all-round legend, where we get to discussin' his most recent projects (cc: check out Hayley Marsten (https://www.hayleymarsten.com/)'s latest single!), inspiration to carry on and plenty more that you can listen in on in this episode!
ALSO, we pose our question to both Dan and you, the listener, and ask that you weigh in on this heavily controversial topic with us:
Which is the better milkshake flavour? Lime, or banana? Do you have a haiku that may rival Dan's? Lettuce know!
We'll discuss this again in the next episode and reveal the most-voted-for milkshake flavour ~wow~ so look out for that!
