Us Being Amazing, was inspired by how my friends, sisters and I are doing amazing things in our careers, are hardworking ambitious workaholics, but we always find a way to create harmony between the things in our lives that matter which in my case included using up my vacation days. The podcast features conversations with people being amazing, and we talk about the realities of being ambitious, letting go of the expectation for perfection, hustle culture, creating harmony between the things in your life that matter and using up your vacation days and just live your life.
In this episode of the podcast I speak to luxury fashion and beauty digital media entrepreneur Sarah Langa.
From actuarial science to Glamour cover girl, Sarah candidly opens up about how she has managed to turn her personal brand into a business.
Admitting that this “digital media entrepreneurship career” was never the plan; working hard, ensuring that you have a plan B, as well as having a support structure are just some of the insights Sarah gives us with regards to the business of turning your creative expression or your passion into a career or business. Even if it wasn’t the original plan.
Nestled in the comfort of Sarah's own home, our conversation covers a wide range of topics. From the pivotal moment when she realized digital entrepreneurship could be her career path, to her contemplation on starting a family in the future. Sarah also opens up about her deepened focus on wellness and well being after the loss of her father, emphasizing the importance of self-care and personal growth.

Vuyiswa Ramokgopa on the importance of strategic self-analysis of oneself as a practice
In this episode of the podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Vuyiswa Ramokgopa on the importance of strategic self-analysis of oneself as a practice. A serial entrepreneur and economic activist, Vie (as I have fondly called her for the many years I have known her) opened up on how personal reflection, stock taking and reflecting on what has transpired has been a key driver in her journey of career pivots, which at the time was an important journey I was walking and asking questions about.
From Sales & Marketing Manager at Kisua, Edgars Trend Forecaster & Buyer, and being the owner of the retail store TwentyTwo, Account Executive at Publicis, Co-Founder of The Wknd Social and serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners, her journey has now lead her to amongst other things being named the chairperson for Rise Mzansi, a political party that is set on set on reviving the spirit of 1994.

How his first boardroom in Jhb was a groove, the importance of mental health and his journey towards being amazing.
