[…] This goes way back to the Obama administration, where they were negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran. And Israel was not happy about that. We recall that Benjamin Netanyahu even came to Congress at the invitation of Republicans and gave a speech trying to undermine the elected U.S. president and his efforts at diplomacy with Iran. So Obama was feeling embattled by a key Middle East ally. Why is Israel our ally? I don't know, but they are. And so he felt vulnerable. And then Saudi Arabia was upset. Because he didn't want to see because Saudi Arabia also didn't want to see a nuclear deal with Iran. […]
