[…] I'm excited. Is my microphone on? Okay. I'm excited to... talk about my new book, which is also a collaboration with Adam Chilton, who I've written with a lot. He's now the dean of the University of Chicago Law School. And the book is basically arguing that writing a new constitution is often a bad idea or a hazardous experiment, to use a term from James Madison. So why is this? So the book describes constitution making around the world as unfolding in something like three acts. So first, a crisis of sorts produces an effort to write a new constitution. This is act one.
