VANITY

About VANITY

If you’ve ever seen a vanity plate and wondered what it meant, then this podcast is for you. Each episode of VANITY tells the story behind a different vanity license plate. The motivations for vanity plates are as varied and distinct as the people behind them. A vanity can be a joke, a tribute, a boast, a memorial, a gripe, a provocation, a passion, a reminder, or simply a name, but it is always more than what meets the eye. Come discover the stories behind the plates with your host, Isaac Klein, a multimedia storyteller who created the podcast as his thesis project at UNC-Chapel Hill.
