For Others || Gifts of the Spirit

In a world that often celebrates self‑promotion and personal achievement, Romans 12 calls us to a different way of living one where our gifts are not for our own spotlight, but for the strengthening of others. This series explores the spiritual gifts God has placed within every believer and reminds us that these gifts were never meant to be hidden, hoarded, or used for personal gain. They are given for others to build, bless, encourage, and serve the body of Christ.

Pentecost || Gits of Spirit

On Pentecost, God fulfills His promise by pouring out the Holy Spirit on His people, igniting a movement that begins in an upper room and spreads to the ends of the earth. Acts 2:1–21 shows ordinary believers empowered to speak, witness, and live with boldness as the Spirit breaks barriers and draws people to Jesus. This passage reminds us that the same Spirit who came like wind and fire is still at work today, awakening hearts, giving new language to our faith, and inviting us to join God’s mission in the world.

Ascension || Gifts of the Spirit

In this message, we look at the moment in Genesis 12 when God calls Abram to leave everything familiar his country, his people, his father’s household and step into a future he cannot yet see. Abram’s journey reminds us that every step of faith carries risk. Obedience often means leaving the comfort of the shore, stepping out of the boat, and trusting that God’s promise is stronger than our fear.We connect this ancient call with Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, beginning with: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Jesus shows us that true faith begins with humility recognizing our need, acknowledging our limits, and depending fully on God. Abram’s willingness to go, even without knowing the destination, is the posture of the “poor in spirit”: open‑handed, surrendered, and ready to follow wherever God leads.
