Explore the myths, gods, and civilizations of the ancient world through long-form, calm narration designed for relaxation and sleep.
Each episode journeys through forgotten mythologies, sacred stories, and lost civilizations
from Sumer and Mesopotamia to Egypt, Greece, and beyond.
Perfect for bedtime listening, background ambience, or quiet study.
Somewhere beneath the oldest written civilisation on Earth, pressed into clay tablets that have survived five thousand years of silence, is a story that was never meant to be mythology.
It is the story of where we came from. Who made us. And why.
Tonight we follow the Anunnaki — the beings the Sumerians said came down from the sky — back to their origin. A planet on an enormous elliptical orbit, sweeping through the outer darkness of the solar system for three and a half thousand years before returning. A civilisation that arrived on Earth not to be worshipped, but to mine. And a creation — us — that was never supposed to last this long.
This episode covers the Sumerian texts, the orbital mechanics of Planet X, the 3,600-year cycle mapped against the great catastrophes of human history, the Nephilim, the gold that never stopped moving, and the quiet question of what the Sumerians were waiting for when they looked up at the sky.
Lie back. Let the story carry you. The night is long, and what was written in the clay is older than almost anything else our species has managed to remember.
Sleep lore — ancient history, mythology & the mysteries left unsolved.

The Real Flood Story. The One They Didn't Teach You (Sumer Myths)
Before Noah. Before the Bible. Before any story you were taught in school, there was this. A flood myth so old it makes Scripture look recent, buried in clay tablets for 4,000 years until archaeologists dug it out of the Iraqi desert and realised humanity had been telling this story far longer than anyone thought.
This is the tale of Ziusudra. A Sumerian king who survived the end of the world, not because he was chosen, but because a god wasn't allowed to warn him directly. So instead, the god spoke to a wall. And the man on the other side was paying attention.
Tonight, let ancient Mesopotamia pull you under. The rivers. The reed marshes. The gods who couldn't sleep because humanity had gotten too loud. The flood that swallowed every city ever built. And the one vessel, sealed on the banks of the Euphrates, that carried the world's last breath through seven days of darkness.
This is where civilisation began. And almost ended.
Lie down. Close your eyes. The Tigris and Euphrates are waiting.

Sumerian Myths: ENLIL — Lord of Wind and Fate (Sleep Lore)
Before cities were raised, before laws were written, and before humanity learned its place in the world, there was the wind.
Enlil was not a god of kindness or comfort. He was the force that separated heaven from earth, the breath that carried divine command, and the power that decided fate itself. Kings feared his attention. Cities prayed for his silence.
This episode tells the ancient Sumerian myths of Enlil as they were once spoken slowly and without interruption. From the separation of heaven and earth, to the great flood, to his exile and return, these are the stories of a god whose authority shaped the world long before history began.
Let the wind move quietly. Let the stories unfold.
You can rest while the myths remain.
