   I'm That Guy, Ok!

This episode discusses the complexity of Love. The Good Read for this episode is Same as Ever: A Guide to What Never Changes by Morgan House (https://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/%22Morgan%20Housel%22?Ntk=P_key_Contributor_List&Ns=P_Sales_Rank&Ntx=mode+matchall) Every investment plan under the sun is, at best, an informed speculation of what may happen in the future, based on a systematic extrapolation from the known past. Same as Ever reverses the process, inviting us to identify the many things that never, ever change. With his usual elan, Morgan Housel presents a master class on optimizing risk, seizing opportunity, and living your best life. Through a sequence of engaging stories and pithy examples, he shows how we can use our newfound grasp of the unchanging to see around corners, not by squinting harder through the uncertain landscape of the future, but by looking backwards, being more broad-sighted, and focusing instead on what is permanently true. By doing so, we may better anticipate the big stuff, and achieve the greatest success, not merely financial comforts, but most importantly, a life well lived. What's Popping in Vell's World includes How to Help Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa, When Your Government Goes Offline: What the 2025 U.S. Government Shutdown Means for Black America, RunDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, and more. Swole Free

After years of trials and tribulations, my Uncle Swole is finally free. His journey back to St. Louis was nothing short of extraordinary—a testament to resilience, hope, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Each mile traveled carried with it the weight of past struggles and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. As we approached the familiar streets of our hometown, anticipation surged through us, knowing the profound surprise awaiting my Grandmother. The moment she noticed my Uncle Swole, tears flowed freely, hearts swelled with joy, and the room was filled with the warmth of a family reunited. This was not just a return; it was a celebration of perseverance, love, and the power of never giving up.
