No guests. No filler. Just the frameworks I use with CEOs, their C-suite, and the high-potential VPs coming up behind them to help them lead, decide, and build better.

Why Team Alignment Fades After an Offsite (And How Executives Keep It Strong)
Your team was aligned after the offsite. Three months later they tell the coach there is no strategy. Clarity has a half-life, and alignment decay is usually a cadence problem, not a talent problem. David Turner separates empowerment from clarity and shows what actually holds direction in place.
Most executives treat an offsite like a capital project: build it once, it's built. But clarity has a half-life. A staff meeting buys you hours. An offsite buys you months, not quarters.
By month three the wobble shows up in your one-on-ones, disguised as a motivation problem or a talent problem. It's neither. It's a cadence problem, and only you can fix it.
This episode separates two things most leaders have quietly fused together: empowerment is permission to act, clarity is knowing which direction to point the action. You can hand someone every ounce of authority you've got, and they'll still freeze if they don't know whether the target moved last week.
David Turner is an executive coach and former public-company C-suite leader. Velocity Now delivers one leadership framework a week in under four minutes.

Company Values That Stick: How Executives Put Values Into Practice
Printed company values that get ignored in the room cost more than having none. Values only work inside a tolerance band: CEOs under 1%, exec teams under 5%, broader teams under 10%. David Turner covers why the band tightens as you climb, and what it costs to enforce it.
That declaration is a promise. A promise is the one thing a company can break.
Values only work inside a tolerance band, and the band tightens as you climb. The organization will absorb a CEO who falls short of the Values less than 1% of the time. An executive team, 5%. The broader team, 10%. Past those lines belief erodes, quietly at first and then all at once. The constraint does not live in your effort. It lives in the audience's eyes, and nobody sits on a higher pedestal than a CEO.
I learned this from Jeff Tarr, who was maniacal about it. No gray areas. If a choice sat 99% inside our Values and 1% outside, we passed. In 24 years in the seat I watched what that discipline costs: the slower route; a disappointed shareholder; a top performer let go who was hitting every number.
Print the Values and let them gather dust and you have made a promise in public and broken it in private. The room sees both. That costs you more than having no Values at all.

Your Boss Loves You. Your Peers Don't.
Your boss praises you in every room. Your results are strong. And your whole career may be resting on one person.
Relationships and values trump results. That's the core of Protecting & Nurturing Relationships, and it's the most common blind spot I see in executives at every level. You can crush your numbers and still stall, because the damage lives in the relationships nobody is measuring.
In this episode: the four beliefs that let smart leaders neglect their peers; the fifteen minutes every two weeks that keeps a working relationship working; the five words to end every one on one with; and what to do when a peer conflict won't resolve on its own.
In 12 years of coaching I've watched this end careers. One VP spent two years making his COO look brilliant and invested nothing sideways. When the COO was fired, he was gone two months later.
Name the three people you most need working well with you. If your boss is the only name you can write down, start there.
