<p>Edgar Janssen begon in de begin tachtiger jaren met gitaar spelen.</p><p>De band Decoy was een van zijn eerste bands samen met o.a. Geert Pelzer.</p><p>Design was vooral bekend van de Carnavalstent bij de Hento bar. </p><p>De Roojse Stones band, speciaal opgericht voor Venray Muziek-Totaal.</p><p>RU2 was ook 10 jaar lang een begrip en tegenwoordig toert Edgar ook alweer 10 jaar rond met Boom like that, de Dire Straits tribute band.</p><p>Ik zocht Edgar op in zijn oefenruimte en hij vertelde over zijn muzikale loopbaan en over de theater voorstellingen 9 en 10 maart 2024 in de Schouwburg Venray en waarom ze niet meedoen met The Battle of the Bands.</p>

<p>In 1973 in de kippenhokbar periode waren en een paar vrienden in Oirlo (gemeente Venray) die op de Boddenbroek 3 ook een bar startte. Snel kreeg die de naam ’t Kelderke. Dit groeide uit tot een veel bezochtte bar en later een officiële jeugdsoos. Theo Peeters en Piet Classens vertellen over deze periode alsof het gister was.</p>
