The Vero’s Voice Podcast brings the heart of Vero Beach to your ears. Each episode features engaging conversations with local leaders, business owners, and community voices, highlighting the people, events, and stories that make the Treasure Coast special. Informative, uplifting, and always local. Hosted by hometown native Doolin Dalton, Vero's Voice Podcast is your front-row seat to Vero’s vibrant culture.
Today on the Vero’s Voice Podcast, we meet a remarkable young man who is proving that you don’t have to wait until you’re older to make a difference. Hank, a high school student, cosplayer, and founder of Hank’s Heroes, joins us to share the story behind his nonprofit and his mission to bring hope, encouragement, and a little joy to people facing disabilities, life-threatening illnesses, and major life changes.
Hank’s Heroes was born from a simple desire to uplift others, but has grown into a movement built around compassion, community, and celebrating every person’s story. We’ll talk with Hank about what inspired him to start the organization, how his love of cosplay became part of his mission, and what he has learned about making a difference in the lives of others.
It’s a conversation about courage, compassion, and the power of one person—regardless of age—to become a hero in their community. Because sometimes being a hero isn’t about having superpowers. It’s about showing up for someone who needs a little hope.

Willkommen… Back to the Stage
This episode of Vero’s Voice Podcast is a very special one.
For the first time in ten years, Doolin is stepping back onto the stage... this time as Cliff Bradshaw in Vero Beach Theatre Guild's (https://www.verobeachtheatreguild.com/) production of Cabaret. And to celebrate, he’s joined by two incredible castmates: Sabrina, who brings the iconic Sally Bowles to life, and Sara, who plays the bold and unforgettable Fraulein Kost.
Together, they dive into what makes Cabaret such a powerful, timeless show. From stepping into these legendary roles, to the electric energy in rehearsals, to the excitement (and nerves!) of opening night, and the importance of theatre and the arts in your community.
Whether you’re a theatre lover, a supporter of arts in the community, or just curious what happens behind the curtain, this is one you won’t want to miss.

In this episode, we rewind the clock, sift through fossils, and explore the mystery that put Vero Beach on the prehistoric map. It’s local history — but make it ancient, strange, and just a little unsettling.
