Minka zorgt voor haar thuiswonende moeder Ellie. Ze combineert dat met haar baan bij KLM. Het wordt steeds lastiger en zwaarder. Ze heeft in het verleden met haar ex in Rome gewoond en vindt de Italiaanse cultuur, waarbij oma gewoon inwoont bij haar zoon en schoondochter iets waar we in Nederland veel van kunnen leren.
