Am 11.04. hatten wir ganz besondere Gäste in unserem Podcast-Studio. Jugendliche des Filmworkshops "Zeige deine Herkunft" konnten bei uns ihren eigenen Podcast aufnehmen. Sie stellten sich gegenseitig Fragen zu ihrer Herkunft, zu ihrem Lieblingsessen und darüber, wo sie sich Zuhause fühlen und wie sie sich die Zukunft vorstellen. Wir freuen uns sehr, das Ergebnis heute mit euch zu teilen! Organisiert wurde der Filmworkshop vom Berliner kollek_tief. Lukas Hermsmeier - Linke Bewegungen // Amerikanische Politik und Kultur // Abolitionismus

Können neue linke Bewegungen auch in Deutschland funktionieren? Warum waren so viele Menschen von Barack Obamas Präsidentschaft so enttäuscht? Und was bedeutet eigentlich Abolitionismus? In unserer neuen Podcastfolge sprechen wir mit Lukas Hermsmeier, Autor & Journalist in Berlin und New York über sein erstes Buch: Uprising - Amerikas neue Linke. Seit 2014 lebt Lukas in New York und hat sich intensiv mit Amerikas Linken Gruppierungen, Strömungen, Organisationen und Personen auseinandergesetzt. Gemeinsam sprechen wir mit ihm unter anderem über die Beweggründe gerade über dieses Thema ein Buch zu schreiben, warum progressive Politiker:innen wie Bernie Sanders und Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez innerhalb der Parteispitze der demokratischen Partei kritisch betrachtet werden und warum sich identitätspolitische Forderungen mit dem Kampf gegen den Klimawandel & für den sozialen Wohnungsbau ergänzen.
