Riz Ahmed vs Shakespear, Tim Allen, and James Bond | VICE Culture Club Ep11

Part 1: This is the highlights of our conversation with Riz Ahmed. For the full interview become a VICE Member.  Riz Ahmed has been pushing British culture forward for 2 decades.  He’s a rapper, actor, and activist.  He started out as an outsider skewering popular culture's take on terrorists and has moved into taking on iconic British roles like Shakespear’s Hamlet, Harry Potter’s Snape, and even James Bond.   We talk about his banned song, who he would like to rap with, who he would like to act with, and where he wish he was right in this moment.   Tim Allen also comes up a surprising amount.  Check out Riz Ahmed in his new movie “Hamlet” and his new show “Bait” Part 2: Riz Ahmed has been pushing British culture forward for 2 decades.  He’s a rapper, actor, and activist.  He started out as an outsider skewering popular culture's take on terrorists and hass moved into taking on iconic British roles like Shakespear’s Hamlet, Harry Potter’s Snape, and even James Bond.   We talk about his banned song, who he would like to rap with, who he would like to act with, and where he wish he was right in this moment.   Tim Allen also comes up a surprising amount.  Check out Riz Ahmed in his new movie “Hamlet” and his new show “Bait” Learn more about your ad choices. This is the highlights of our conversation with Ben Mckenzie. For the full interview become a VICE Member.  While most celebrities were shilling for crypto, Ben Mckenzie was investigating it. Mckenzie is most known for his roles in the OC, Southland, and Gotham, but most don’t know he studied economics at the University of Virginia.   He has gone back to his college roots to take on some of crypto's sorest subjects.  In his new movie “Everyone is Lying to You for Money” Mckenize interviews now jailed crypto CEOs Sam Bankman-Fried and Alex Mashinsky.  He also goes to El Salvador to check out Nayib Bukele’s attempt to become the first country to use Bitcoin as an official currency.   We talk about all the dark corners of Mckenzie’s investigations took him to, all the people that have been hurt by crypto, the identity of bitcoins founder, the history of currency, and we play “Steal That NFT”.  While most celebrities were shilling for crypto, Ben Mckenzie was investigating it. This is the highlights of our conversation with Jorma Taccone. For the full interview become a VICE Member. We sat down with SNL & Lonely Island legend Jorma Taccone to talk about why we rarely see comedy blockbusters in theatres anymore, if we will see another Lonely Island album, and what it’s like to be a rockstar as a joke.   He also talks about his new very bloody, star studded movie, Over Your Dead Body.  Finally, we ask him to give adVICE to the VICE audience. Learn more about your ad choices.
