Reject! This! Slop! AKA, Curating a Life I Don't Need to Run From

This is the twentieth episode of a podcast I'm calling Vicsplaining. It's just a nonsense podcast where I, Vic, explain my life to you and how I see other things.Fun fact, Woodchip speaks at 36m 7s! **CORRECTIONS!!** At 45m 54s I start talking about the woman who coined the term “incel,” short for involuntary celibate. I state that this person is transgender. Upon further review, this is false. The creator of this term is bisexual, but she was deeply inspired by trans, queer, and polyamorous communities to have a term that encompassed her feelings around dating (Peter 2016). At 1hr 17m 51s, I incorrectly state that Tehran, Iran contains 90 million people. For clarification, The entirety of Iran contains nearly 90 million people, give or take, where as Tehran, their most populous city, contains 9 million. Topics Covered (Timestamps incoming): 0:00 - Personal updates: Ramadan, sobriety, being a first-gen law school hopeful, breaking up with my therapist38:19 - Kehlani and “life is too short”, short tangent about celebrity culture and “making it out”44:12 - Looksmaxxing1:10:42 - War with Iran1:30:34 - The AI Arms Race - Anthropic, ChatGPT, and Technofascism Content warnings: Swearing, some discussion of religion, primarily Islam in the context of Ramadan and Christianity, alcohol and recreational drug use, discussion of imperialist violence, particularly bombing, financial distress, discussions of misogynoir and misogyny, discussion of personal mental health struggles, particularly regarding Vic’s OCD, abortion, some references to suicide and suicidal ideation, mortality and existentialism, body image, dysmorphia, fatphobia, mentions of eating disorders and orthorexia, some graphic conversation depicting sex and sexual activity, some ableist language, discussion of nuclear bombing, murder, so-called AI-Psychosis, and some discussion of gun violence. Despite Everything, I'm Going to Continue to Choose Hope. AKA, Getting Back to Basics

Hello again! Sorry for the long wait. Here's episode 19. I don't have an excuse! I'm burnt out. Let's yap! ***I wanna make it clear that even though I reference Knight and Bowe's engagement during the Heated Rivalry section of the podcast episode, I did not mean to imply that they were inspired by the show or book to get engaged or to be public about said engagement. I meant it more so to talk about how real-life gay hockey is as a sport, but I understand if it comes off that way in the podcast. I apologize! For the record, Knight and Bowe have been in a relationship since the 2020 Bejing Olympics. I was confusing the attack on Pascal Kaiser with Knight and Bowe's engagement. which is why I erroneously say "hockey player was attacked after proposing to his partner" in this section.*** Content warnings: Swearing, xenophobia, some explicit conversations around money and capitalism, discussions of state-sanctioned violence and murder, sexualization and fetishization, racism and hate speech, references to nazism, hospitalization, misogyny and patriarchy, mentions of abortion, homophobia, lesbophobia, biphobia, and transphobia (the whole rainbow!), radical feminism, transmisogyny, gender essentialism, anti-Black racism, graphic depictions of violence, blood, policing of mental illness, psychosis mentions, homophobic violence and threats of hate crime, mentions of religion (Islam and Christianity), suicide and suicidal ideation, mentions of colonialism and chattel slavery, and some abelist language. Topics discussed: Where I've been: Ramadan 2026, Burnout, Wedding Stress Doechii and "Real" Lesbianism Heated Rivalry and why I'm sick of (talking about) it ICE's besiege on Minnesota

Yapping for TWO HOURS about Showing Feet in Racial Chat Rooms … AKA, The Government’s Shut Down AGAIN So Let’s Distract Ourselves with Pop Culture Garbage

Groovy!! Content warning for swearing, discussion of abortion, racism and antiBlackness, discussion of cancer/illness/sickness, homophobia/implied lesbophobia, mentions of recreational drug use, fetishization, suicide and suicidal ideation, anti-vaccine propaganda, discussions of death and grief, implied infidelity, sexual content and suggestive conversation, mentions of rape and sexual assault, fascism and censorship, reclamation of the word “queer,” ableism and light ableist language, mentions of fatphobia and weight loss, menstruation, discussion of biphobia, racist imagery/dogwhistling, and race-specific & homophobic slurs.
