Rooke and Elderly Residential Care
The Rooke Elderly Residential Home has opened its doors to the public, with the GHA saying the new facility will help consolidate and improve services for elderly people in the community.
But the project has been dogged by years of delays and rising costs. The development combined modular units built in China with a locally constructed framework.
Minister for Health and Care Gemma Arias-Vasquez and the GSD’s Shadow Minister for Care, Atrish Sanchez, debate the political issues in part one of the podcast.
In part two, they are joined by GHA Director General Paul Bosio and Gibsilver’s Brenda Cuby to discuss the wider issues surrounding elderly residential care.
